Historia
Born Maurice Micklewhite, son of a Billingsgate fish porter and a charlady, Michael Caine's life has been an extraordinary rollercoaster: from washing dishes and fighting on National Service, to winning two Oscars and being knighted by the Queen. With more than eighty films to his name, he has starred in some of the classics of modern cinema: as an action anti-hero in Get Carter, a Cockney lothario in Alfie, and a disillusioned alcoholic academic in Educating Rita. He is an enduring model of British cool.

Great performance
Revisado: 07-27-15
Interesting look at a wonderful actor. Especially enjoyed the ability of Andrew Wincott to mimic Sir Michael Caine.

Voice is irritating
Revisado: 05-17-15
The general story is good but I dislike the voice of the narrator. The inflection is done well along with the emotions ; I just dislike the voice maybe it's the awful southern voice and male voices.

Historia
Eighteenth-century Scotsman James Fraser and his 20th-century time-travelling wife, Claire Randall, have emigrated to the beautiful countryside of the Royal Colony of North Carolina. The year is now 1771, and dissidents are stirring throughout the American colonies. Claire forewarns James of the impending war and the dangers it may bring to their clan. Will her knowledge of America’s tumultuous revolution be enough to guide them through a dangerously uncertain future?

The beauty of family!
Revisado: 02-25-15
The adventures of Jamie and Claire continue. As they age their wisdom and love grow stronger and multi-faceted. My third time through the series. Twice reading and now listening and this continues to be one of my favorite books of the series.

Historia
The year is 1771. Claire Randall is still an outlander, out of place and out of time. But now she is linked by love to her only anchor - Jamie Fraser. They have crossed oceans and centuries to build a life together in North Carolina. But tensions, both ancient and recent, threaten members of their clan. Knowing that his wife has the gift of prophecy, James must believe Claire, though he would prefer not to. Claire has shared a dreadful truth - there will, without a doubt, be a war.
