Historia
A photo on Masih's Facebook page: a woman standing proudly, face bare, hair blowing in the wind. Her crime: removing her veil, or hijab, which is compulsory for women in Iran. This is the self-portrait that sparked "My Stealthy Freedom", a social media campaign that went viral. But Masih is so much more than the arresting face that sparked a campaign inspiring women to find their voices. She's also a world-class journalist whose personal story, told in her unforgettably bold and spirited voice, is emotional and inspiring.

Good message but...
Revisado: 02-08-18
I learned some good things from this book. I’m all for simplicity myself, so there was little news in it for me, but the main issue was that it was toooo long for what it had to convey. So redundant and difficult and almost agonizing to listen to. Thank goodness I wasn’t reading it, otherwise I would’ve never finished this book!

This was probably the best parenting book I’ve ever listened to, but it does need some narrowing down to be relevant to kids of more specific age groups.

Historia
With well over 200 million copies sold, this novel ranks among the most famous works in the history of fictional literature. It depicts the plight of the French peasantry demoralized by the French aristocracy in the years leading up to the revolution, the corresponding brutality demonstrated by the revolutionaries toward the former aristocrats in the early years of the revolution, and many unflattering social parallels with life in London during the same time period.

The voice of this audible is so muffled I can’t comprehend half of the words specially when I’m driving; but I listen to all my audio books when I drive and never had this problem. I would’ve returned it, but I purchased this long time ago and haven’t listened to it until today.

A wonderful life changing approach
Revisado: 10-09-17
I'm so glad that I'm introduced to RIE parenting through "Your Self Confident Baby", "No Bad Kids" and this book. These methods have completely changed the way I regard and treat my baby in ways that make sense.
My only criticism on this book is that it rushed through some chapters too fast without teaching much practical lessons. For example on potty training, it goes on saying forget the old ways, tricks and manipulations; rather respect your child and wait until she/he is ready, but that's it. It doesn't say anything on how do we potty train with respect and no tricks!

Janet Lansbury is unique among parenting experts. As a RIE teacher and student of pioneering child specialist Magda Gerber, her advice is not based solely on formal studies and the research of others, but also on her twenty years of hands-on experience guiding hundreds of parents and their toddlers. No Bad Kids is a collection of Janet's most popular and widely read articles pertaining to common toddler behaviors and how respectful parenting practices can be applied to benefit both parents and children.

I leaned so much about good parenting by listening to this book and the author's other book "elevating child care". I highly recommend both. They teach you a new way of seeing things and doing things that make total sense.

Should you really read to your baby? Can teaching a baby sign language boost IQ? Should you pipe classical music into the nursery? Dr. Jill Stamm translates the latest neuroscience findings into clear explanations and practical suggestions, demonstrating the importance of the simple ways you interact with your child every day. It isn't the right edutainment that nurtures an infant's brain. It is as simple as attention, bonding, and communication, and it's within every parent's ability to provide.
