Historia
Erika Jayne didn't make it this far by holding back. Now, in her first-ever memoir, the fan favorite star of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills bares her heart, mind, and soul. In Pretty Mess, Erika spills on every aspect of her life: from her rise to fame as a daring and fiery pop/dance performer and singer; to her decision to accept a role on reality television; to the ups and downs of family life (including her marriage to famed lawyer Tom Girardi, 33 years her senior). There's much more to Erika Jayne than fans see on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Short and Sweet
Revisado: 03-29-18
I hoped for more but this book only scratched the surface of Erika Jayne-much like what you see on RHoBH, what you get is real and authentic but you can't help but feel that there is more deeper down somewhere. It was insightful to learn about her history and training in the performing arts, but as a short book it only breezes through her life experiences. A good quick read but definitely left me with more questions and a longing for raw experiences. I highly recommend for anyone who is a fan, just don't expect more than Erika is already willing to give.

Based on extensive research, Ian Halperin delivers the salacious details behind the Kardashians' rise to fame. With revelations exposing the family's foundation as shaky at best and scandalous at worst, Halperin scrutinizes their self-made multimillion-dollar brand. Focusing on three key players - Kris Jenner, Rob Kardashian, and (formerly Bruce) Caitlyn Jenner - Halperin provides an unparalleled glimpse into the events and scandals that have propelled the Kardashians to worldwide celebrity, for better or worse.

Focus on Others
Revisado: 05-02-16
Too much detail about OJ Simpson, Paris Hilton, and other ancillary "characters" without enough detail about the actual family. No real details about the kids, especially Kendall and Kylie, and a decidedly negative spin on the matriarch "momager". All of the family members are "famous" in their own right and the entire story focused on Kris and Kim with virtually no focus on any of the other children. There was so much more that could have been told but was left out for the chance to slam Kris and Kim at every turn. You don't have to love the Kardashians but there is more to their story than OJ and Paris and their contributions to the family's rise to fame.

Listen on x1.25!!!
Revisado: 02-17-16
It is so great to see TG bouncing back after serving her time and paying back her restitution. Her story was compelling and poignant and gave a glimpse into what happened leading up to and during her time in prison. She has paid her dues and I wish her all the best in the future as she revitalizes her career and image and has her family back together. Although the story was great, and it was a bonus that she was the reader, the recording was SLOOOOW and almost immediately (thanks to other reviewers) put the playback on x1.25, which even that at times was too slow. If you can get past the broken up sentences it is worth a listen!

Historia
To everyone else, John F. Kennedy Jr. may have been American royalty, but to RoseMarie Terenzio, he was an entitled nuisance—and she wasn’t afraid to let him know it. RoseMarie was his personal assistant, his publicist, and one of his closest confidantes during the last five years of his life. In this, her first memoir, she bravely recounts her own fairy tale interrupted, describing the unlikely friendship between a blue-collar girl from the Bronx and John F. Kennedy Jr.

Bad Editing
Revisado: 02-08-16
The story was fantastic but editing was terrible and novice. Multiple repeated sentences and audio that sounded like the author and reader were locked in a closet on speakerphone. Made it hard to listen to sometimes and was distracting from the overall beauty of such a great story.

Best MKA Book Yet!
Revisado: 11-24-15
The story was rich with a lot of ends that could have been left loose but MKA paid a lot of attention to tying up all loose ends. This was her best story BY FAR, and I have listened to over 15 of her books, including the entire Callahan Garrity series. Very entertaining and so well done!

Historia
Thirty-three-year-old Shea Rigsby has spent her entire life in Walker, Texas - a small college town that lives and dies by football, a passion she unabashedly shares. Raised alongside her best friend, Lucy, the daughter of Walker’s legendary head coach, Clive Carr, Shea was too devoted to her hometown team to leave. Instead she stayed in Walker for college, even taking a job in the university athletic department after graduation, where she has remained for more than a decade.

Weird Story, Awkward Ending
Revisado: 04-26-15
The storyline was awkward and left me wondering if the outcome couldn't have been better. Stagnant characters with little plot development.
