Slow to get into, but then very engaging

I had some difficulty getting into the first book, I didn’t like either of the main characters at first. Once I got further into it I ended up devouring the second half of book one and books two and three. I do like those couples better, but book one must be read first.
I look forward to continuing the series and seeing if my theory of what is wrong on the island is correct.

Excellent production of an awesome book

I read Loren when the book came out and devoured it. As soon as the audiobook was announced I preordered it, which is something that I rarely do with audio. I listened to the book over 2 days and it was performed brilliantly. I loved how Loren's sociopathy was so well portrayed as well as Oakley's exuberance. The plot is thrilling. Give this a chance and you'll fall in love with the Van Dorens too.

Fascinating story

I enjoyed listening to this in the car line (with the windows up). The ending seemed really quick, though I suppose that's how police breakthroughs really are. I liked the characters.

Very enjoyable story

Entertaining story with fantastic narration. I am not going to say anything about the story since I can't think of a way to do it without spoilers, but the characters are fun. I felt that some of the side characters could have been fleshed out better (they did strange things that were never explained why), but perhaps that was a secret to be revealed in a future book. I enjoyed listening to The Curse of Winchester and look forward to more.

Fun story with incredible narration

I loved the story, it had it all. Humor. Action. Steam. The narration was truly immersive, with gorgeous voices and accents. What a treat.

Enjoyable story

I enjoyed the story and was ok with the erotic parts, but the narrator got on my nerves at times. He did a great job of giving each character a distinct voice, but it was simply the way he pronounced or emphasized certain words that got to me. Of course, Aretha Franklin has gotten on my nerves for how she pronounced some words, so it could easily just be me.
I particularly liked being surprised by the story, I love it when it's not predictable!

Emotional storytelling at its best

I had to take a couple breaks while listening to this bundle. Reading the story is heart wrenching enough, but hearing the heartbreak in Savannah Peachwood's and Ryan West's voices was at times overwhelming.
Eva Chase's story is brilliant and doesn't shy away from some of the horrors of war or of war crimes. I really enjoyed listening to this series and recommend it highly.

Stunning performance of a great story

I really can't get over how great it is to hear this story as opposed to reading it. I usually prefer reading since I read much quicker than the audio, but this performance of the story makes the slower pace worth it. I can't wait to listen to the final bundle.

Gripping story with a wonderful performance
