I liked this book. Interesting culture clashes, the turmoil of misunderstandings. Both charters were very likable.

I liked the happy ending best. The story seemed a little teenager or juvenile. The narrator was very sing- song. I learned something about the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

Historia
Ten years ago, after a sun-soaked summer spent in Greece, best friends Bess and Joni were cleared of having any involvement in their friend Evangeline’s death. But that didn’t stop the media from ripping apart their teenage lives like vultures. While the girls were never convicted, Joni, ever the opportunist, capitalized on her newfound infamy to become a motivational speaker. Bess, on the other hand, resolved to make her life as small and controlled as possible so she wouldn’t risk losing everything all over again. And it almost worked.

What really happened !
Revisado: 12-16-23
The book held my interest, I could imagine being in Greece. Acting as they did when they were young girls seemed very normal to me. I understood the impact that would have affected the rest of their lives.
I didn’t really like how Bess blamed herself and caused herself to be paralyzed over it. She really wasted the 10 years after the accident Hiding when she seemed to have the most supportive parents of the three girls. It was a good read.

Loved the series. I really like Jean Grainger’s style. This series was was compelling. I like her descriptions it feels like you are there. This was a good series as it follows the family from children to adults. What makes me happy is the mostly happy endings. The sad parts are reasonable also. I will read more of this author.

Stunning
Revisado: 10-12-22
I truly enjoyed this story. The author made everything very real. I could almost smell the fragrance of the flowers and spices. I thought it was somewhat suspenseful as I believed Eliza was going to sacrifice and marry Clinton. I liked her characters in this story. I will listen to more books by this author. The narrator was excellent.
