Neil Dudgeon is THE BEST audio narrator ever

I Love this series. I love the tradition of British cozy” mysteries mixed with the tradition of the narration and character development. I have read and listened to about every British “cozy “ audible has to offer and this series is my top 5, however the narrator Neil Dudgeon is my favorite

Choppy chapter settings

I give this 3 stars because the chapters are chopped up and are not cohesive. Some chapters end in mid sentence. Only to begin the next chapter on a random word. Not every chapter but most. Absolutely beneath annoying. No book in any format should chapters stop in mid sentence only to start the next on hanging words. Fire the editor

Love this series! 1 irk in this particular series; as one who sets the timer for night time listens, I do not like the short cut up chapters that do not actually end at the intended chapter. It ends abruptly, mid conversation, after a sentence. Plus 4-5 min chapters are so.. childish.

The narrator truly was the best thing about this drawn out blah. Blah blah story .. paragraphs about nothingness in grandiose attempts to give these characters any sort of depth.
I adore Agatha Christie and Poirot. This just made me sad for her legacy
I could not finish it. I had to re-read a chapter 3 times just to remember again why I do not care what happens

Very well narrated. Quite a lot of characters with similar characteristics 4 old and unmarried women, 3 of them childless; 3 men who were all lotharios, 2 of the 3 men were described as very attractive all very selfish and secretive etc etc .. as the author likes to use surnames and many of the
characters are related by family or by marriage; at times it got confusing. But maybe that was the authors intent. I was pleased enough that I will continue the series
