Character development was great. Enjoying the ongoing saga. Can’t wait for the next instalment. Thanks for stories that my grandchildren can enjoy.

Disappointed
Revisado: 11-30-23
Normally I love this authors work but as a Believer was very uncomfortable with the occult chanting included. I actually had to skip parts of the book as it was drawing a darkness in my home. I don’t believe practicing occult prayers in the book was necessary for the overall story just like I don’t believe intoxication or taking part in adultery is necessary to understanding the dangers Just a thought.

Historia
Raised as an orphan by her aunt, Chariline has only been told a few pieces of her parents’ tragic love story. Her beautiful dark skin is proof that her father was Cushite, but she knows nothing else. While visiting her grandfather before his retirement as the Roman official in the queen’s court, Chariline overhears that her father is still alive, and discovering his identity becomes her obsession. Both her grandfather and the queen have reasons for keeping this secret, however, and forbid her quest. So Chariline sneaks on the ship of a merchant trusted by friends.

Horrible Narration
Revisado: 08-24-21
Narration was so bad I am retuning the book. If the narrator had only used her own voice it would have been better but she made the main character sound like one of Cinderella’S creepy step sisters. I am a huge fan of Tessa but this was just too poorly read. I hope to go find the book and wipe put this audible book from my memory.
