I love this story! Marcel is one of my favorite characters of all time. I like the narrator's voice, but he did read a little fast. I listened at 90% speed and it was perfect.

LOVE it! Story gripped me from beginning to end. Lots of great twists. Truly amazed at the way historical elements are woven in with fantasy elements. Such a memorable story that tugs on your emotions.
The narrator did a great job. Usually with audiobooks I get caught up in thinking "I wouldn't read it that way". I didn't have that problem with this narrator at all. Though I will admit I didn't care for his women voices. I would have preferred if he didn't try to sound like a woman because it just doesn't work. Otherwise absolutely splendid!

Exceptional story and enjoyable audiobook

Fantastic retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Love the storyline and stayed up much later than I should have. I liked everything about the audio except for the way the reader performed the Beast's voice. He sounded like a grumpy old woman. I would have preferred a simple normal voice for him. Otherwise the reader sounded great and spoke the words as I would have read them.
