To get home, they must survive a merciless winter in a lawless camp deadlier than any battlefield.

Why Would Anyone Like This Book?
Revisado: 06-01-24
I disliked 99% of everything I heard through chapter 8. At that point I asked myself why I was listening to such garbage. I couldn’t find a reasonable answer so I quit.

I loved every word of it. Please send a copy to Donald Trump, and one to every member of his family including his son Baron.

All Around Awful
Revisado: 03-10-24
I only made it 1/3 of the way through the first book when I gave up. Everything was wrong with the book, so I don’t need to say more than that.

How Awful Can a Book Get?
Revisado: 06-26-23
Oh, dear. I tried to stick with this book but ultimately gave up. I don’t know what was worse, the story or the reader. In any event neither was good. I finally quit 2/3 of the way through the story.

Historia
Attorney Garrett Goodlove never thought he'd prosecute a medical malpractice case. Doctors swear an oath to help people, and those cases are usually honest mistakes blown up by ambulance chasers. But when he learns of a woman bodybuilder who went into the ER with a case of heartburn and came out in a wheelchair, he starts paying attention. It appears the doctor who saw her frequently orders open-heart surgery for patients who don't need it, sometimes leading to disability or death.

If there's one thing that Bureau of Indian Affairs Investigator Emmett Quanah Parker knows, it's that the dead don't always stay dead. When the corpse of a woman, brutally murdered and bizarrely mutilated, is discovered on Havasupai Nation land, Parker is paired with FBI Special Agent Anna Turnipseed in a hastily assembled task force of two. Horrible History of the Poles in Poland
Revisado: 10-02-21
I stopped listening to this important book because it was too depressing. The history needs to be offered to people around the world, but especially in predominantly Catholic countries. I was raised a Catholic in the United States, and went to Catholic grammer school in the 1950s. Everything I heard in this book about the beliefs and actions of the Church and priests is so similar to what I was taught by nuns and priets that it made my skin crawl. And, remember, the 1950s was long after the horror of the Holocaust was known and well documented.

If you are in need of a long nap listen to this book. Within minutes of its beginning I fell fast asleep, and remained that way through the entire first chapter. I haven’t a clue what the rest of the book is like because I wasn’t interested in finding out.
