Historia
In Unruly, David Mitchell explores how early England's monarchs, while acting as feared rulers firmly guiding their subjects' destinies, were in reality a bunch of lucky sods who were mostly as silly and weird in real life as they appear to us today in their portraits.

The understated humor and everyday similes stood out, as well as the clear explanation of the essence of a complicated subject.

Excellent, as always

David is in fine form, although I’m not sure his ultimate conclusion at the end of the book can be universally applied to all of his subjects. An excellent listen.

A fine return to Krynn

Both the text and the subtext of this book are astounding. It takes its time to build toward its purpose, but the anticipation just makes it all the sweeter.
