I loved the kids
Revisado: 06-20-24
Overall, this was a good book. I found there to be so much dialogue, for me, I like more descriptions of the setting and character movement throughout the scene. I felt like it was a missed opportunity, not building the tension earlier for the characters.

I loved this regency romance!
Revisado: 07-30-23
This is my first book I’ve listened to by Alene Wecker. I was blown away. She’s a fantastic storyteller and can capture the regency tone with finesse. I can’t wait to listen to her other regency book (I hope more is coming)! Her characters were interesting (flawed), and tugged at different elements of the regency era that I haven’t come across often. I enjoyed every minute of this book. The narration was splendid. This book has emotion and a quality plot line with a bigger cast of characters and POVs. It was well written and very enjoyable!

Historia
Most people know that Gregor Mendel, the Moravian monk who patiently grew his peas in a monastery garden, shaped our understanding of inheritance. But people might not know that Mendel's work was ignored in his own lifetime, even though it contained answers to the most pressing questions raised by Charles Darwin's revolutionary book, On Origrin of the Species, published only a few years earlier. Mendel's single chance of recognition failed utterly, and he died a lonely and disappointed man.

Revisado: 07-13-22
I loved this book. It was so informative and was loaded with information. What I loved most was how the author made the characters come alive. He gave unknown scientists (to me) personalities. This book took me back to a different time. I completely loved it.
