Historia
The story is seen through the eyes of Uhtred, a dispossessed nobleman, who is captured as a child by the Danes and then raised by them so that, by the time the Northmen begin their assault on Wessex, Alfred's kingdom and the last territory in English hands, Uhtred almost thinks of himself as a Dane.

Awesome performance!
Revisado: 09-13-18
I generally don’t like stories told in first person, but Mr. Keeble’s performance changed my mind with this book. One of the best performances I’ve ever listened to.

Historia
One afternoon - after another failed attempt to get motivated to exercise - I (accidentally) started my first mini habit. I initially committed to do one push-up, and it turned into a full workout. I was shocked. This "stupid idea" wasn't supposed to work. I was shocked again when my success with this strategy continued for months (and to this day). I had to consider that maybe I wasn't the problem in those 10 years of mediocre results. Maybe it was my prior strategies that were ineffective, despite being oft-repeated as "the way to change" in countless books.

Great Ideas
Revisado: 06-07-16
The book is full of great ideas backed by research into the human brain. I had read the book "Willpower" before this and was happy that Stephen referenced it many times in his book.
I always wondered why I would consistently fall short of my lofty habit goals and end up less motivated than before I started. Mini habits helped me overcome one of the biggest hurdles to any goal...getting started.

Historia
At first, the case of the bodies found in a Moscow park looked straightforward: a "troika", probably three on a bottle, drunk together and then frozen to death together in the brutal Russian night. But Chief Homicide Investigator Arkady Renko hits a sharp and complicated turn with the arrival of the KGB's Pribluda. Suddenly, his access to a routine investigation is blocked. Why?

Good character development.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Gorky Park?
Very exciting ending!
How did the narrator detract from the book?
It was often hard to distinguish who was talking in the book as the narrator rarely changed tones between characters.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Already a film for this book. Interested to see it now.

Historia
New York Times bestselling author Ted Dekker teams with Tosca Lee to create this gripping thriller set in a desolate future. Many years have passed since civilization's brush with apocalypse. The world's greatest threats have all been silenced. There is no anger, no hatred, no war. There is only perfect peace... and fear. But a terrible secret has been closely guarded for centuries: Every single soul walking the earth, though in appearance totally normal, is actually dead, long ago genetically stripped of true humanity.

Takes a while to get into, but overall a good read
Revisado: 04-06-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. However, I didn't think I would for the first half of the book, and I almost gave up reading a few times. But the story eventually comes together to become an enjoyable read with some surprising twists.
What did you like best about this story?
The overall premise of the story is an interesting concept.
Would you be willing to try another one of Henry Leyva???s performances?
Maybe. The narrator (much like the book) seems to improve as the the story progresses. He's better in the second half of the book
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No
