Reads like a decent “B movie”

For a while there I felt like I was listening to a script reading of a Steven Seagal movie. The narrator was pretty good and I think he did well given the pedestrian writing. Very cliche all around. I stuck with it right to the end after investing several hours already. Also I do intend to continue with the Scott Harvath series. Very hopeful this series improves. It has potential. (Doing my best NOT to read any reviews to ruin any surprise - good or bad).

These series are the best!

George Guidall is by far the best performer for this series. He brings a tone that really let's you dig into it and feel a part of the story.

Vince Flynn is, as always, amazing - I typically burn through his books in a few days. Every time a book ends I feel a need to get another one going right away to see what's next! Cannot put these down!

Really, really interesting and good energy

Sarcastic ship (AI)...reminds me of other Sci-fi's I've been jumping into over the last year.

This one is interesting. Starts off really weird and I couldn't wrap my brain around and couldn't get into it. Had to start and stop multiple times and really tried. Driving a lot affords me with ample time to listen and I found myself desiring to listen to other books instead.

Content is good and it has good energy but I think it's the recording that ultimately did not do it justice (for me).

I will probably go back and listen again on the next long drive to Miami and back.

Thought provoking. Too many times do I personally blame others, automatically even though I intend not to do so. Always retraining my brain to not blame. Stoicism can be applied to many areas. I do not believe there is a need for work/life balance. I believe it's a need to understand how to have both work together to provide health and objectivity in general.

Have to be honest...storyline I think is fine and I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't for the performance itself. I would imagine that having a "muscular frame" would include a voice that exudes strength of the character himself. I would have selected someone that is able to properly convey what I think the author had intended. Performance was less than desirable unfortunately.

Clever and witty

Part adventure, part mystery, part something else...

After wading through the first couple of chapters I was intrigued to finish the audiobook. It's definitely worth listening to on a long road trip.

But not for Charlie. He came to an unfortunate end.

Very enjoyable and quick - listened to this on a long drive and wished it lasted longer. Quirky and humorous, it delves into the recesses of what a person can do when faced with an overwhelming situation - a fork in the road that requires one to make a decision. Good or bad. Just be prepared for the fall out and how to do deal with it! :)
