I enjoyed the first 2 books in this series and I love Scott Sigler so I gave the narrator a chance after listening to his introduction explaining the need for a more mature voice to show Em has aged and that he was pleased with the job Kovacs did reading this book. I can not believe that he truly feels this way! She is the worst narrator I have ever come across and I am including Google text to voice in that. Her male voices are appalling it really destroyed the story for me. I persisted but the narration was so awful I missed a lot. I don't like to criticise or post negative reviews of things people have created but this is very very disappointing

I would give this a 5 star ...but

I love this book. The story is really engrossing the reader is awesome and I never guessed what was going to happen next. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because many times the story refers to the sweet scent of bougainvillea flowers but they are papery flowers with no scent. It bugged me ...maybe its petty

A bit odd but I loved it

I don't even know how to go about explaining this story except it is what I expected from a master storyteller such as Nick Cave. It is dark , amusing , sad and unpredictable. It is a beautiful story and an awful story at the same time. The main thing is it really affected me which is what I love in a good book. Well worth the money!!

Jane kicks ass!

As usual Jane Yellowrock brings it! Big cat and Jane kick ass while being amusing and a little bit sexy without becoming a soppy romance. I love it!! Faith Hunter is one of the few to remain strong and write a good solid story with a tough chick lead character! woot woot

It's nice to see some chicks still have guts!

I was pleasantly surprised by a whole bunch of original aspects of this story. First and foremost the main character Luna is approx 35 years old, a little chubby and far from perfect. She has no idea what she is getting into but she bumbles her way through to save her brothers baby. I loved it. It is a bit girly while still being gritty and full of guts.Mercedes Yardley is witty and at times downright funny. Can't wait for the next book. Well worth your money and time. Well done!!

Pleasantly Surprised

I have listened to pretty much every zombie book you can think of and that means I don't expect them to be that much different from the last. This one was a clever , witty , well thought out story that is not the same as all the rest. Well worth a try. I am off to buy number 2
