Loved it! Goes more in depth than the show. Definitely inspiring. Looking to make some changes, but probably won't be fully off grid.

Historia
A decade ago Special Forces warrior Jason Morgan parachuted into the Central American jungle on an anti-narcotics raid. He'd served with the famous Night Stalkers on countless such missions. This one turned out very different. Months later he regained consciousness in a US military hospital, with no memory of how he'd gotten there. The first words he heard were from his surgeon, telling him he would never walk again. The determined soldier responded, "Sir, yes, I will."

I couldn't turn it off!
Revisado: 03-31-13
As a dog lover, I enjoy reading books about dogs. This one, told from the dog's point of view was riveting! I could not turn it off! It was incredibly interesting to consider lives from the dog's point of view, and the book made me both laugh and cry at times. I highly recommend this book to dog lovers!

Historia
America is the land of the free, after all. Does it really matter whether our politicians bend the truth here and there? When the truth is traded for lies, our freedoms are diminished and don’t return. In Lies the Government Told You, Judge Andrew P. Napolitano reveals how America’s freedom, as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, has been forfeited by a government more protective of its own power than its obligations to preserve our individual liberties.

Exposing the Educational Gaps
Revisado: 10-07-12
Where does Lies the Government Told You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is one of the most interesting ones I have listened to, and the first political audio book I have done.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Lies the Government Told You?
One of the most memorable parts of the book was finding out that the part about "Innocent until proven guilty" was illustrated with a case I had read a book about, and that the impression that book left me with was not the whole truth!
What about Andrew P Napolitano’s performance did you like?
I liked his narrating, especially because his passion for the topic comes through. That might not be the same with another narrator.
Any additional comments?
It is amazing how much of what one is taught in American History classes misses, as I found out with this audio book. Things that I took for granted as "fact" turn out to not be true. If you have an interest in history and politics, this book will make you think!

Revisado: 10-07-12
Was Indian Givers worth the listening time?
In the end, yes it was because I learned a lot from it.
Any additional comments?
This is another book where the title caught my attention, as I am part Native American. I was a bit disappointed that the focus was primarily on the indigenous tribes of South America. Overall, it was a very interesting book.

Historia
At 28,251 feet, the world's second-tallest mountain, K2 thrusts skyward out of the Karakoram Range of northern Pakistan. Climbers regard it as the ultimate achievement in mountaineering, with good reason. Four times as deadly as Everest, K2 has claimed the lives of seventy-seven climbers since 1954. In August 2008 eleven climbers died in a single thirty-six-hour period on K2–the worst single-event tragedy in the mountain's history and the second-worst in the long chronicle of mountaineering in the Himalaya and Karakoram ranges.

Interesting story!
Revisado: 10-07-12
If you could sum up K2 in three words, what would they be?
The three words I would use to sum up K2 would be interesting, tragic and technical.
What about Fred Sanders’s performance did you like?
He has a nice voice for narrating books and was easy to listen to.
Any additional comments?
The book was interesting overall, but I felt that the book was more about the mistakes made rather than the drama of the events on K2. It wasn't quite the story I expected, but it was a good one, nonetheless. I suspect that if I knew more about climbing mountains, it would be more exciting.

Historia
John Robison argues that Asperger's is about difference, not disability. In this book he offers stories from his own life and from the lives of other Aspergians to give the reader a window into the Aspergian mind. Equally important, he offers practical advice - to Aspergians, their parents, and educators - on how Asperians can improve the weak communication and social skills that keep them from taking full advantage of, or even recognizing, their often remarkable gifts.

What did you love best about Be Different?
Having a son and daughter-in-law with Asperger's, I learned a lot from this book that will be helpful for them.
What about John Elder Robison’s performance did you like?
I liked hearing his words in his voice, it made it seem very authentic
What insight do you think you’ll apply from Be Different?
Encouraging my son and his wife to find what they are good at, and being patient, since it may take a while!

Uplifting Story, Well Told!
Revisado: 06-04-12
What made the experience of listening to Oogy the most enjoyable?
As a lover of animals and dog rescuer, I found Oogy's story uplifting. I enjoyed listening to it. The fact that it is not an over-emotional tear-jerker was a definite plus, since I listen to Audio Books as I sew and iron.
What did you like best about this story?
Oogy's story of going from an abused dog to a treasured family member. I'm hoping that there will be another book about Oogy as he moves on into his next "career", and I live that just as I was thinking that would be a great thing for Oogy, sure enough, that is going to be his next move!

Would you listen to What Every BODY Is Saying again? Why?
I would absolutely listen to this book again! I look forward to using it as a reference, because I don't think you can learn all the information in just one listen. As a crisis counselor for disasters, I will be putting the information from this book to good use to facilitate my understanding of non-verbal cues during conversation.
