Value decoded really shifts the mindset of looking at money. Instead of looking to make a profit, the person should look to see what secret value can be added by a service that you do. Tom Brady is a perfect example. The author shows that Brady add the value of immense entertainment because we as Americans lust for this every Sunday. The author points out that value and profit is always equal to skill, but it’s not always the skill that we think. That skill can be throwing the football, or that skill can be adding to the massive entertainment we as Americans seek to watch. This book does take a deep dive into the principles of macro economics micro economics and the economy that the average listener will need to listen to more than once. I like how the author uses three billionaires, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Tom Brady to give real world examples of how this value theory works. I highly recommend this book.

Hockey Trivia 101 is an easy listen to audiobook that can quickly make a road trip fly by. As hockey fans my husband and I listened to this on the way to Florida two different times. I love the narrators voice and I like the music in the background. Interesting facts from who has the most assists in hockey to who got into the most fights. I think a part two of this book would be great.

This "Reluctant Mom" has done her homework! What a fun, interesting book. Reluctant Mom, AKA Mary Beth, brings her experience as a wildfire biologist to this book and covers many animals from A to Z. Well written and the narrator's voice is easy to listen to. Who knew an armadillo had quadruplets every time they had babies? I also enjoyed her facts about paddlefish and the way that she wrote about her personal experiences on the Missouri River while working in South Dakota. I enjoyed this book as much as my kids. I would love to see a part 2!! Great Job

This is a very easy to use, easy to listen to guide that will take you from start to finish while visiting Iceland. I particularly like the way the author talks about different times of the year and what to visit at these times. Alex covers some of the best restaurants and bars, the best towns to visit, The best places to hike, the best places to camp, and even what type of weather to expect depending on the time of year that you visit. We plan to go to Iceland in the next year or two and will utilize the things we have learned in this book.

I came across this book from a friend who was listening to this and I have to say it’s a great audible book. I loved to narrators voice and the background music. This is just full of affirmations that help you believe more in yourself daily. My favorite sections were the ones pertaining to confidence and motivation. This book does a good job off helping you believe in yourself.

Riddle me these, kids is a quick FUN listen that we have enjoyed on a road trip with our kids. These days we are looking for anything to get them off of their cell phones and listening to this was very enjoyable. My little boy has been telling the jokes about the water in the sponge and the hairdresser and the die. The bell at the end of the riddle is a little shrill so we had to turn that part down some but other than that we really enjoyed this book. Our kids are 12, 15, and 17. We all enjoyed it.

So my take from this book is that Etta C. Love is an absolute expert on all things ADHD. The thoroughness and completeness of this book is unmatched. Not only does she seem to have expert knowledge that is well planned out and studied but she brings the parental perspective to this subject that so many physicians seem to neglect. The book is a step-by-step guide that starts with simply defining ADHD and she breaks this complicated issue down so we can all understand.

After this, she describes the evaluation and diagnosis process in detail. Treatment options are discussed with and without medication. During the medication section, she gives pros, cons, side effects, etc. She has a section that deals with diet and exercise (or movement)and how this conditions the ADHD person. She has a section on helping our kids with their memory and how to use visual type reminders to keep our kids on task and focused.

I cannot recommend this book enough to parents, teachers, doctors, nurses, and anyone dealing with ADHD kids. I plan to purchase the hardback version to make notes in etc…..GREAT BOOK!!

It's all about having a plan

It’s all about planning and I think Sydney really spells this out for us in this audible book. When planning a big get-together there is so much to think about to make sure everyone has a good time. She starts right off with the most important part, the money. Decide what we can spend, then invite people plenty early. I thought the chapter in the book about games to play is a really good idea. Even if some people don’t love to play games, it sort of forces fun interaction between people. Syndey also talks about food, kids or no kids, music, how to decorate, and the atmosphere. Overall, a great listen for anyone planning a party.

Blended Family Guide is a great starting point for people entering into this murky water of blending 2 families. I really like how she used the BLUNDER acronym in the book, which is exactly how you can feel transitioning into raising kids that are not used biologically. She points out things about Nepotism that I had never really considered (so essentially the “favorite” child ends up being disliked by the other siblings), so this favorite person may end up “worse off” for a parent having this attitude. I’m sure there is no book that can address all the issues, but I think Campbell has put together a very practical guide on starting on this road.
