This book has changed me

I have never heard anything but glowing reports about this book and, because of that I have been reluctant to read it and maybe dislike it and find myself in the minority. But.
This has become one of my top three books of all time.
This book is full of beauty, truth and goodness and made me long for “home” in a way that made my soul ache.
The narrator read it the way I suppose it should be savored: thoughtfully, giving inflection to the nuance in the voices and by his rich cadence.
I immediately started it over again, and am not sure one more reading will be quite enough to last me for a while.

I have been immensely helped and provoked to thought with this book and the narrator was excellent. This is now one of my Top 10 books which have shaped my life and I will recommend it to many, I know.

You really can’t improve on Robert Louis Stevenson, for his beautiful words and equally beautiful thoughts. The narrator does an incredible job of bringing them to life in this title. I have literally listened to it 10+ times myself!

This was so captivating. I can't imagine getting so physically sick that I had to hospitalized as they did when it first aired on radio, but I did hold my breath a few times. ;-) Every minute was suspenseful.
