Historia
For 12-year-old Emily, the best thing about moving to San Francisco is that it's the home city of her literary idol: Garrison Griswold, book publisher and creator of the online sensation Book Scavenger (a game where books are hidden in cities all over the country and clues to find them are revealed through puzzles). Upon her arrival, however, Emily learns that Griswold has been attacked and is now in a coma, and no one knows anything about the epic new game he had been poised to launch.

Historia
Anyone who struggles with overeating knows what it’s like to feel out of control—and to feel the guilt attached to it. While ordinary anxiety feels like something that happens to us, the siren song of food cravings feels like something we should be able to control. The result is a toxic cocktail of shame and self-loathing that makes it impossible to change our behavior. The Hunger Habit is based on Judson Brewer’s deeply researched plan proven to help us understand what is going on in our brains so that we can heal the shame and overcome overeating.

changed my life
Revisado: 10-01-24
Finally, finally - someone has really addressed what is at the heart of so many people's struggle with food -- the psychological aspect -- in a way that is doable without tracking, mind games, will power, self-hatred. I have (had, now) been at war with food for decades. I had the nutrition education and the exercise, but the pressure of food always on my mind just wore me down. This book, and the Eat Right Now app those goes along with it, is a step-by-step, compassionate, and very practical guide to becoming a more mindful eater, learning how to reshape habits, and to learn to listen to and to trust your own body. The beautiful part about it is that he uses the neuroscience of your own beautiful mind (neuroscience of habits) to help you in this process, so that it doesn't have to be a constant internal battle. I don't think I can recommend this highly enough. I've done so many dieting programs and they often work for a while. But this one (not a diet program either but a food psychological program) is teaching skills that will change you from the inside out, healing the "food noise" and finding more peace when it comes to food. Also, in the process, I have lost the weight I've been trying to for so long, and have learned to really know when I am actually hungry. I've also been able to quiet the internal critic, who isn't all that helpful anyway.

Amazing
Revisado: 12-28-22
This is one of the best official Minecraft books! Some of them aren’t that good but this one is amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who plays Minecraft dungeons because it describes the backstory of the game and it talks about places that are actually in game and I like that detail. I like how Archie it the Arch-Illager, but now everything I play Minecraft dungeons I call him that Archie-illager. Overall a very good book!

Amazing book!
Revisado: 12-13-22
This book is amazing. I love it and so does my family. It’s a good story for kids & adults but it can get pretty dark, and the characters make some questionable choices.

The best book I’ve ever listened too
Revisado: 11-29-22
I remember reading the actual book so naturally when I saw this I got it. That was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’ve listened to it quite a few times and I always enjoy it. I do think jack black should’ve narrated the sequel though; he is an extremely good narrator.
