So incredibly well read and well written. When a story is brand new, and yet we reminisce, it’s a special blend of magic to touches the heart and enhances our lives. This is such a book and this is such a performance.

I don’t know how you could ever equal this, after all you only have one life story but what a writer! So relatable on so many levels; it’s not about celebrity, If that were the point few could relate, this is a book written from the heart and understood by another heart. Shared experiences in my life make it all the more poignant - just an excellent excellent read.

I just finish this book after 62 days without power in the aftermath of hurricane Irma and Maria in the US Virgin Islands, Saint Thomas. I was in a funk it was raining outside and I needed a lift. I GOT ONE. Thanks Hanks!! Highly recommended. Shorts that didn’t require concentration; my only regret being there isn’t another set to follow immediately.

What did you like best about this story?
The truth.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from Adoption Healing?
I worked through the book. I took my time. I cried, I raged and I came through. Before this book I stepped around reality...tiptoed. I was never on solid ground in any relationship. This therapy is targeted to the wounds only first mothers carry. I am changed and every relationship I have is better because of this book. Sounds like too glowing a recommendation? It's not. It probably isn't glowing enough because what it did for me is inexpressible.
Any additional comments?
If you lost a child to adoption, as I did. Read this. You don't know what you don't know. This will help you love yourself (and trust enough to love others) in a way you never knew was possible. It's groundbreaking and it needs to be said.

Great option to reading the whole book. I just wanted to get the "gist" of it and a few tips! Narrator seemed emotionless - inflectionless, flat and just reading to get it done. Several times repeated sentences. Of course there is no story line anyway.....
