Characters were developed so well - I’m going to miss them.
Revisado: 02-08-24
I love stories based on actual experiences so this story hit the mark. The characters were so realistic that I will actually miss hearing about their lives.

Historia
The Reef is the story of Tate Beaumont, a beautiful young student of marine archeology - and of Matthew Lassiter, a sea-scarred young man who shares her dream of finding Anguelique's Curse, the jeweled amulet surrounded by legend and said to be long lost at the bottom of the sea.

Unbearable
Revisado: 06-29-21
I’ve read her books before and liked them. This one is different. The story is very slow. The characters are boring - I’m not even rooting for them to get together or find their lame treasure. The voice talent is ridiculous. The old man is made to sound like a pirate and southern accents are terrible. Don’t waste your time.

Historia
Thanks to paper-thin walls and the guy’s athletic prowess, Carolyn is gaining an - um - intimate knowledge of her new neighbor's nocturnal adventures. And since Caroline is currently on a self-imposed "dating hiatus," and her neighbor is clearly lethally attractive to women, she finds her fantasies keep her awake even longer than the noise. So when the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts Simon Parker, her heard-but-never-seen neighbor.

All bad
Revisado: 06-04-19
This is junior high writing at its worst. She nicknames and talks to her orgasm and vagina in the most immature ways. A book this bad should be refunded.

I met Bianca in an elevator. She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck. The beautiful raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed. She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she'd dubbed "Mister Moneybags" - her afternoon appointment. Bianca told me how much she hated Dex's type - snobby, over-educated, silver-spooned men who didn't appreciate the simple things in life.

Immaturity and sleezy combined with incest jokes = this book
Revisado: 09-19-17
I get that people have a variety of turn-ons that others don't. This book uses incest and 14 year old boy level one-liners for a lot of the conversation that is supposed to be between a billionaire sophisticated man and journalist woman. Not believable. This book tested my dedication to finishing books I read all the way through.

Slow and rambling
Revisado: 03-10-17
The story focused on mundane things like stitching dresses in detail while doing vague broad strokes over the larger events. Heavy detail about the look of a dress and mentioning offhand a realization that you've fallen in love with someone you shouldn't have for example. This book truly tested my rule of never to not finish a book.

Historia
Marie-Laure lives with her father in Paris near the Museum of Natural History, where he works as the master of its thousands of locks. When she is six, Marie-Laure goes blind and her father builds a perfect miniature of their neighborhood so she can memorize it by touch and navigate her way home. When she is 12, the Nazis occupy Paris and father and daughter flee to the walled citadel of Saint-Malo, where Marie-Laure’s reclusive great-uncle lives in a tall house by the sea. With them they carry what might be the museum’s most valuable and dangerous jewel.
