ANYONE BUT SCOTT BRICK

Can we get another reader besides Scott Brick? His monotone speaking voice is just so boring. He really ruined this book and they need literally anyone else to jump in and take the mantle. Story was fine. Just more Halo stories. They waste a couple hours just explaining the previous halo story. This could have been 10 hours, but they decided to just stretch it out without adding more to the story. Listen at your own risk and waste of credit.

Racist, sexist, and really dated

Be warned, this old white man writer boomer is very racist and sexist. Most of the story is great and really cool. It’s sprinkled with ignorant and unneeded parts that aged like milk. It’s tough to get into the story at first but it eventually comes around. I’m surprised the smutty parts of the book made it to publisher. Be warned and ready to return this title.

Enough with Scott Brick

Unless you are a dedicated Halo fan, skip this story. I used to like Scott Brick but his performance in this book is sub par. It feels like he is yelling the story instead of performing the story. His voice stresses me out and honestly takes away from the book. This is the first Halo book that I really don’t like. Do your research before you buy. Cheers

As a former Sega fanboy, loved it

I started off not liking this book. The more I listened, the more I started getting interested. Soon I was listening to this story as much as possible. What an epic story about the rise and fall of sega.

Avoid this book

The book wastes so much time using the dictionary to “define” terms. It starts off with stories that aren’t helpful at all. This feels like a mirror of his previous book which wasn’t that great. I ended up returning this title. It feels like a high school assignment with double spaced lines to try and pad the paper. I honestly tried several times to get through it and I couldn’t. AVOID!

Great follow up to a great story

I don’t want to give anything away but if you really enjoyed the first book, you will really enjoy this book. Wil Wheaton did a phenomenal job reading this amazing book. It’s worth it

Takes awhile to start, promos website too much

For a title that starts off saying how they’re gonna try to get point quickly, they sure do spent a long time talking about their website talking about other BS and not getting to the point.

Great story, but horribly mastered audio

This audio book quality sounds terrible. It’s a great story and the reader did an excellent job. I’m not sure if there are compression issues or what but it’s very obvious when different audio has been spliced in. For as much as these books cost, you would think more time and quality control would go into them. It’s a shame this book has to get bad marks because someone didn’t do their job double checking files prior to posting.

Skip this audio book and read the book instead

The production quality of the recording/edit ruins the experience. It has obvious re-recorded lines that are spliced in poorly. The narrator's performance turns this exciting book into a very difficult listen even on 1.5x speed.. I only kept with the story because my friend read the book and said it was great. Compared to the other Hunger Games audio books, this recording/edit feels like amateur work. The story is great, but I personally recommend skipping this audio book and reading a physical version instead.

It was very slow at first, but provided good knowledge

The first lectures were a bit of a struggle to listen to. They were very boring information filled with acronyms and acronyms that no one will remember. The best part of this entire lecture series was the part about marketing. If you can manage to get through this crazy long book, I feel it’s worth a credit
