This novel is...pretty good for a first installment of a trilogy. It took about three chapters before the story caught my attention and started to pull me in, which I usually say is a no-go. The beginning of a book should have some kind of attention grabber. However, once my attention was grabbed I was moderately intrigued by the premise of the story line.
I was not at all intrigued by the narration, though. Kramer has a tonal quality that is somewhat off-putting to my eardrums.

If you enjoy Stephen King and have a healthy interest in American history, this is definitely a must read. All things Stephen King collide with historical fact and a little bit of sci-fi to give you a one-of-a-kind take on the assassination of JFK. The only set back on this audiobook is the narrator's tendency towards monotony. Some portions were read very well, but his voice inevitably tapers off into a sleep inducing tone.

The Lightbringer Series has quickly become one of my all-time favorite fantasy novel series. Brilliant character development, unique story, well planned motifs, and an audio performance that absolutely pulls you to the edge of your seat. Do not pass this one up! It is unforgettable!
