Historia
The potential of a team of God-inspired, talented, committed people is boundless. But without resilience—including the savvy and skill to get up again (and again) when the going gets tough—teams simply cannot thrive or lead well. Resilience is what sets great leaders and teams apart from those that literally fall apart. It's what's missing when great organizations lose steam.

You'll never participate in a trust fall again

I am convinced that you could assemble a group of 5 complete strangers, drop them in an oxygen deprived environment with only 5 days worth of life sustaining gas and this book, and not only would they survive, they would return to earth in a galaxy class starship they assembled during their time away, and most importantly, with team strength rivaling the supremacy of world renown groups such as the Avengers, the Power Rangers, Voltron, the kids from Stranger Things (and so on).
This book very simply communicates strategies for building or rebuilding a team at a level that even the most unqualified among us can follow. They do this by using examples from their own organization while also giving the logic behind the strategies they employed. A story in particular from this book very wild, and the authors willingness to share it validates much of what they offer in this book. These strategies and ideas are verified and not abstract, and thus, incredibly practical.
This book also does an excellent job of giving a framework for dealing with what can be scary seasons of figuring out why things may not be going as planned and relational issues that would arise when a lot of people get together in the hopes of accomplishing something great. I even found my own fears fading out in light of the care given to making sure leaders who would glean from this book are prepared to do everything they can to make those around them feel valued and loved in all circumstances. And especially in our american context, this is indispensable wisdom.
At any level and any stage of figuring out how to do teams better, or feeling shook in light of a difficult season ahead, The Resilience Factor truly delivers on its promise. Highly recommended.
The dark chocolate voiceover is also a huge bonus. This is Morgan Freeman level narration.
