Historia
Following the events of Villains Defeat, Jackson Blackwell—the minor god and former Shadow Master—is dead. His empire toppled, his entourage dispersed, and his stain upon the cosmic landscape wiped clean. And that is exactly what Jackson, the newly graduated Titan, wants Eris Pence and the gods of the multiverse to think. After two years of secret training, Jackson is ready to begin his rampage, his mission of sweet revenge. The only things standing between him and his dark desires are a few pesky personality tests and a Titan named Frank.

it's book 5
Revisado: 10-06-23
and the fans know how to take a joke,
two years was a long wait but so worth it..
I now finished the book my 5stars stays with these notes to MKG
1) can't wait for the next book
2) I only guessed half of the plot twists
3) Jackson rarely punches down on the humor and when he does it's rare and not that hurtful
4) as the lbgtqa+ millennial crowd (trans lesbian older millennial) I enjoyed when I was hit because it was fair to how much others were hit and could enjoy the joke
5) the entire book I kept screaming were is Evee so glad to know next book that will hopefully be answered
6) Jeffery's blooper reel had me in tears laughing so hard

Historia
This is a tale that used to be about dungeons... Now it's mostly about walking in the woods with a friend, looking for mushrooms to put in your soup. Maybe haggling with the squash seller, or taking care of a neglected garden, or even just putting some jam on a good shortbread biscuit. And yes, sometimes you still go down into the dungeons with your friends, and kill monsters there, disarm traps, avoid spiked pits etcetera, etcetera. But when you come out now, it's not really about the gold and loot.

lots of talking about dungeos
Revisado: 10-05-23
I love it, dungeons are just a back drop to delightful character development and slice of life. the dishes get washed.
there was risk of it being a harem anime with one male main character and four female main characters but that bullet was thankfully dodged.
if your looking for high magic fighting, dungeon diving, this isn't for you. if you want to chill with a group of people gossiping over bottles of wine in a fantasy setting then you found a cozy book to listen to.

it made me laugh a few times and was very fun
Revisado: 09-13-23
the story is kinda typical, read a few, players get stuck in old campaigns, but this one made me laugh alot, the narrator did amazing with their comedic reading, between this and critical fail this is one of the best dnd turned lit rpg comedies

The advertisement offered the ultimate Virtual Reality experience. Using a new technology known as Immersive Virtual Reality or IVR, you could truly experience the game as if you were in it. For someone who has been confined to a wheelchair all of his life, the promise was impossible to ignore, but only a few would be invited to take part in the Alpha test of the new game. Devon decided he would be one of those few.

it's so good
Revisado: 08-18-23
I liked the main character, he wasn't an ass, overpowered or arrogant. he did fall into the trope of, player is friendly to npcs which makes all the difference but the fact that he falls in love and is never like, wait should I worry about falling for an AI is really good, he goes with the flow of it while still making silly jokes.
the authors note at the end is heartbreaking, I'm glad I had the opportunity to listen to this.

was iffy at times but worth it
Revisado: 08-24-22
I kept wanting to scream when the main character didn't focus on her goal of not becoming a slave, and I kept feeling the plot devices were too tailored for an mmo, but without spoilers the plot convince gets explained.
as for narrator Parsneau is always a treat, admittedly I had to resist the urge of picturing characters from other books she's narrated when she reuses a voice but that not her fault (how dare she only have a hundred distinct voices)
fun read, lesbian love story, characters have to earn being op.

it's not that great
Revisado: 06-16-22
the sub plot of the gambler God is fun but the main character isn't really that sympathetic, starts off pretty over powered to start, and it's just a basic story with a gimic and a few times the the main character says a few misogynistic things.

Historia
Separated as a child from his family, Theo has always had a feeling that he’s made for something bigger than the suburban life he seems to be headed for. When a bully threatens his best friend, he can’t help but step in the way. The problem is that Theo’s just not much of a fighter. Bruised and broken, Theo wakes up to a massive headache and what appears to be floating game text inviting him to become a dragon. While ludicrous, no matter how often he rejects the prompt, it simply returns. Knowing that his life can’t get any worse, he finally accepts...
