Suzanne Simard is a pioneer on the frontier of plant communication and intelligence; her TED talks have been viewed by more than 10 million people worldwide. In this, her first book, now available in audio, Simard brings us into her world, the intimate world of the trees, in which she brilliantly illuminates the fascinating and vital truths—that trees are not simply the source of timber or pulp, but are a complicated, interdependent circle of life.

this is the book I didn't know my soul needed. I have been reading similar stories about the forest but I didn't realize that suzanne was the main reseacher that all of my books on forest communications started from. For young women and girls, thank you for being a trailblazer. For the forest, thank you for giving the trees a voice. A true lorax story.

Historia
Investigative reporter Katie Worth reviewed scores of textbooks, built a 50-state database, and traveled to a dozen communities to talk to children and teachers about what is being taught, and found a red-blue divide in climate education. More than one-third of young adults believe that climate change is not man-made, and science teachers who teach global warming are being contradicted by history teachers who tell children not to worry about it. Who has tried to influence what children learn, and how successful have they been?

An important listen for science teachers to understand how they can stop the cycle of disinformation in their classroom by understanding the history of climate change propaganda.
