In a world that is “woke”, how many Christians are actually awake? This short theologically sound primer is a resource for pastors, ministry leaders, community leaders, and other thinking Christians that explains carefully and clearly what critical race theory and wokeness truly are, what the Bible teaches about race and ethnicity, why wokeness is distinct from Christianity and should be rejected, and how the church can work for unity based in the gospel of grace.

Great book overall
Revisado: 09-30-22
My only complaint is the narrator did a bad job pronouncing names. I think if you would’ve did a little research and listen to others say the names he could’ve did a better job. Overall he did a good job reading it. This book is definitely worth purchasing.

Historia
In the spring of 2020, government mandates forced churches across North America to close their doors in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As societal fear and unrest increased, Christians were forced to grapple with how God wanted them to respond to these state-imposed restrictions. After all, didn’t the closure of churches pose a serious threat in a time when people needed spiritual direction more than ever?

Very encouraging
Revisado: 03-04-22
As I look back on the past two years and everything that has transpired and closely paying attention to brother John and James it was very encouraging hearing their stories and everything that happened to them and their church and how they help faster God‘s word to get them through government Tierney. Every generation has they are strong leaders and no doubt these are two of our strong leaders in the church today

I love all things C.H. Spurgeon! This was a very easy listen and very enjoyable. I thought the author did an awesome job breaking the book down in the small chapters talking about the Christian life. This is a book I will listen to more than once.

Doug Wilson recommended this book on his podcast. Immediately I went to audible to see if it was available and purchased at one credit. The author did a great job reading this book. He did a great job of using scripture to explain scripture. He definitely had me hooked. I’ve already recommended this book to several people and I have a greater understanding Of scripture because of this book.

The Doctrine of Election

Historia
The grand truth of election takes us back to the beginning of all things. It predated the entrance of sin into the world, the fall of man, the incarnation of Christ, and the proclamation of the gospel. A correct understanding of it, especially in its relation to the everlasting covenant, is absolutely essential if we are to be kept from fundamental error. If the foundation be faulty, then the building erected upon it cannot be sound; and if we err in our conceptions of this basic truth, then in just proportion, so will our grasp of all other truth be inaccurate.

What a joy that he chose me!
Revisado: 10-15-20
I really enjoyed this book. What he taught that he chose the bride of Christ before the foundation of the world. How that energizes me to spread the word to the lost in the world so that the rest of his elect shall come to Him. It’s not a prayer you say But God!!

Historia
Far from being an engaging fable, the account of Job in the Bible is one of the most historically and scientifically accurate records of the ancient world. Perhaps the oldest book in the Bible, the Book of Job touches on many subjects of science and history. This commentary on the controversial Book of Job is very different from most of the seminary and church teachings so prevalent today, for it attests to the historicity of a man named Job who understood at the end of his life that God cannot be "figured out", but He can most certainly be trusted.

I really enjoyed this book. I am really intrigued by the book of Job. There’s so many amazing things in the book of Job that this easy to listen to book breaks down enough of Job so you could have a better understanding of it and why God left it for us to read and study.

Historia
In this stunning audiobook, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous, and the most successful. He asks the question: What makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: That is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

One of the elders of my church mentioned Andrew Murray‘s name so I started looking at some of his books. This is the first one I purchased and I really enjoyed the way he broke down the scripture. It is something that I will listen to again.
