Historia
Richard Evans, author of the acclaimed The Third Reich Trilogy and over two dozen other volumes on modern Europe, is our preeminent scholar of Nazi Germany. Having spent half a century searching for the truths behind one of the most horrifying episodes in human history, in Hitler’s People, he brings us back to the original site of the Nazi movement: namely, the lives of its most important members. Working in concentric circles out from Hitler and his closest allies, Evans forms a typological framework of Germany society under Nazi rule from the top down.

The Complicit German citizens in committing atrocities.
Revisado: 09-10-24
I liked the exposure of average German comp-licitness in mass murder of innocent fellow citizens by participating or by ignoring and never opposing the process. This scale of injustice was going on all around them openly and not in secret 🤫

Historia
A black swan is a highly improbable event with three principal characteristics: It is unpredictable; it carries a massive impact; and, after the fact, we concoct an explanation that makes it appear less random, and more predictable, than it was. The astonishing success of Google was a black swan; so was 9/11. For Nassim Nicholas Taleb, black swans underlie almost everything about our world, from the rise of religions to events in our own personal lives. Elegant, startling, and universal in its applications, The Black Swan will change the way you look at the world.

At the later years of life and of course that audibles made it possible to know the real story to the core 😊no other story in terms of complexities , duties , wars , tactics , respects to elders , polygamy, polyandry, all warriors killed on battle field going to haven, virgin births, immaculate conceptions after conceptions and the list really goes on ! Historia
Why cracking the code of human conception took centuries of wild theories, misogynist blunders, and ludicrous mistakes.Throughout most of human history, babies were surprises. People knew the basics: Men and women had sex, and sometimes babies followed. But beyond that the origins of life were a colossal mystery. The Seeds of Life is the remarkable and rollicking story of how a series of blundering geniuses and brilliant amateurs struggled for two centuries to discover where, exactly, babies come from.

Historia
Over one million Black men and women served in World War II. Black troops were at Normandy, Iwo Jima, and the Battle of the Bulge, serving in segregated units and performing unheralded but vital support jobs, only to be denied housing and educational opportunities on their return home. Without their crucial contributions to the war effort, the United States could not have won the war. And yet the stories of these Black veterans have long been ignored, cast aside in favor of the myth of the “Good War” fought by the “Greatest Generation.”

The untold history of black American soldiers
Revisado: 11-07-22
I had no idea that enlisted men and officers of color suffered segregation , insults, abuse, beatings, maltreatment during Second World War by their white compatriots, civilians, civilian police and many state governments 🙄😬 lack of awareness will certainly leads to perpetuation and repetition . Looks like there is collective complicity of society , government, to avoid the matter of racism and put it under the rug .
