Historia
Was What's My Line TV star, media icon, and crack investigative reporter and journalist Dorothy Kilgallen murdered for writing a tell-all book about the JFK assassination? If so, is the main suspect in her death still at large? These questions and more are answered in former CNN, ESPN, and USA Today legal analyst Mark Shaw's 25th book, The Reporter Who Knew Too Much.

Compare to today
Revisado: 05-01-24
This book is excellent as it describes what happened then and lets you compare it to what’s happening now in government. Clearly a cover-up. Clearly at the expensive collateral damage to some fine people. I love Mark Shaw’s books.

Historia
As much music history as biography, Awop Bop Aloo Mop celebrates "Little" Richard Wayne Penniman, who burst onto the American scene in 1955 with his mega-hit "Tutti Frutti." Almost by himself, Little Richard wrote the anti-rules and poured the concrete for the foundation of a new musical art form he created. Alan Freed would call it "Rock & Roll." Dubbing himself "The Architect of Rock & Roll," Little Richard was known for his wild, flamboyant performances and outrageous costumes. He also had demons he struggled with throughout his career.

THOSE were the days...
Revisado: 06-09-23
I'm 78, and in today's scary world of (you know what) it's more enjoyable to reflect on, and remember the past, than it is to worry about and try to predict an uncertain future.
If YOU want to take a trip down memory lane that I'm sure you will remember and relate to, I highly recommend that you listen to this audio book.
I promise, the story about the life of Little Richard will be one you'll recall and now remember for the rest of your life.
Because... THOSE were the days... Awop bop aloo mop, balop, bam boom!

Historia
Her beauty almost certainly saved her from the rising Nazi party and led to marriage with an Austrian arms dealer. Underestimated in everything else, she overheard the Third Reich's plans while at her husband's side, understanding more than anyone would guess. She devised a plan to flee in disguise from their castle, and the whirlwind escape landed her in Hollywood. She became Hedy Lamarr, screen star.

Who knew?
Revisado: 07-20-22
A riveting story about someone most knew only from her on-screen persona. At 77 years old, I loved the story about personal greatness albeit not justly recognized. Thank you for the entertainment.

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

NOT what I expected, but BETTER.
Revisado: 01-14-21
Interesting to listen to and learn about someone beyond his actor persona. Fun to find out he's an ordinary guy that got an extraordinary break that he took advantage of and maximized. A lot of this book was personally relatable and therefore a great listen. The WAY he narrated it was also a welcomed surprise. GREENLIGHT!
