Historia
First published in 1621, and hardly ever out of print since, it is a huge, varied, idiosyncratic, entertaining and learned survey of the experience of melancholy, seen from just about every possible angle that could be imagined. The Anatomy of Melancholy, presented here with all the original quotations in English, is, at last, available on audiobook in its entirety.

While Burton's Melancholy is one of the greatest books of all time, the Ukemi audio book is not the unabridged text. Anatomy is a bi-lingual work primarily in English, but with intentional Latin (and occasional Greek) quotes, intentionally expanded in many cases in the footnotes. This version questionably "translates" the Latin or Greek and is not the work that Burton produced or intended to be published. Ukemi via audible should clearly mark this as being an altered and modernized edition and "credit" the translator as at least a co-author.

Historia
The War Below is a dramatic account of extraordinary heroism, ingenuity, and perseverance—and the vital role American submarines played in winning the Pacific War. Focusing on the unique stories of the submarines Silversides, Drum, and Tang—and the men who skippered and crewed them—James Scott takes readers beneath the waves to experience the thrill of a direct hit on a merchant ship and the terror of depth charge attacks.

As a small child I visited the USS Drum in Mobile with my father, a U.S. Navy WWII vet. This book took me back to those childhood memories and fully encapsulated the experiences of being on a submarine during the war. The narration is spot-on and Scott weaves a compelling tale told through three subs. I would recommend this title to any with a Navy or WWII interest as you won't be disappointed.
