Ashes to Ashes Audiolibro Por Tami Hoag arte de portada

A bit slow but pays off!

Total
3 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 10-11-10

While the book starts off a bit slow, or at least I could not get into it as easily as some of the other books by this author I am really glad that I hung in there as the book was full of twists and turns. Just when you think "who done it" you are wrong and maybe it is over here it is over there. So well worth the cost and a good older "read".

This is my second book by Tess Gerritsen and I have to say I am a new fan and I am just loving her writing style. I don't normally like abridged versions but this was just the right fit to my busy schedule and had the right blend of mystery and little romance.

Worth Every Minute

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 09-12-10

The average human only lives 650,000 hours. Don't let any more time go by without listening to this book! Maybe it seems a little crazy but knowing a bit about everything is really amazing and Bryson takes us in story format from the beginning to the end. I often find myself listening to: A Short History of Nearly Everything when I just want to unwind. No matter how many times I have heard it I swear I learn something new.

On the Edge Listening

This was a great listen. I have always enjoyed Cornwell and this was a good on the edge of your seat listen. I would recommend it to anyone looking for that balance of looking behind you with making sure the doors are locked.

Deaver Brown is great and to the point. Short and easy listens. These lecture style listens are subject sensitive and to the point. While I could have used a bit more on modern day manners (owning a business in 2010) this was great.

Great Book, Not Heavy Romance

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 09-12-10

Even Tess Gerritsen states that this was her cross over from "romance" to more of that medical mystery and I have to say that Girl Missing (aka Peggy Sue Got Murdered) was a great mystery and not heavy on romance. Yes there was enough of a romantic tug that I was happy and mad and excited but the story line had me more. I was surprised by the end and enjoyed the way that Gerritsen attempted to adapt the book to be "newer" it is funny though technology is so ever changing we can't ever be on top. I highly recommend this book and now have become a true Tess Gerritsen fan.

Good Help When Stuck

Total
3 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 09-12-10

Brian Tracy does a great job helping you face that pile of TO DO. But this book may leave you wondering what to do when your day is filled with nothing but frogs. A quick paper read and a good listen I enjoyed both the print and audio version and recommend this book if you are feeling a bit blocked and looking for ideas on how you can stop feeling behind on just about everything.

Wonderful

Revisado: 07-04-10

I have to say I loved this book. It was so great and well written. It may seem odd but I am in my late 30's and I got this book and just had to giggle and loved it. It is enjoyable for every generation and brought back the angst of junior high and trying to fit in and made me realize that it never really fades. The author does an incredible job telling a story and captivating the characters. I highly recommend this book to readers/listeners of all ages.

A Delightful Journey

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 07-04-10

I found myself wrapped up in this tale and at first could not get into the gist of things but suddenly if paper books are a page turner, I became a audible zombie. I was drawn into wanting to know what was going to happen next. The tale is a wonderful journey of love and then friendship. We add adventure and kindness. I can see how some would not give the book 5 stars but honestly it was a light hearted tale that when told from beginning to end takes you on an adventure that's just right.

Deeper then Enjoyed

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 03-01-10

This is the first book I have had the chance to listen to by Tami Hong. It was very well written with each chapter narrating perspective through the happenings. The book had me ranging from enjoying a good "edgy" story to sitting on the edge come the end.

I highly recommend this book to Cornwell/Patterson fans in the vein of Alex Cross with some spice of humanity or reality.

The book shocks and rivets you off your seat. Events that offend every sense of being in you make unfortunate and perfect sense in the world today.

Last note, the author did an AMAZING job setting a book written in a time when we had no computers, no DNA databases, and cell phones were bricks to carry. It was a great read/listen.
