Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Love this endearing tale!
Revisado: 12-05-24
This is not my normal genre to read so my expectations were low however I was completely enthralled with the story line! Living on the beach I see octopi all the time and have always thought they were remarkably intelligent. This tale gives life to the beauty of these interesting creatures while drawing you into their world haphazardly through its interactions with the humans in his environment. It a great coming of age story for the humans and a great read for older teens young adults and old folks as well!

Historia
A sinister cabal of corrupt law enforcement personnel, intelligence agents, and military officials at the highest levels of government plotted to overthrow a president. Even after they failed, they continue to secretly pull the levers of power without any accountability to the American people. This isn’t the synopsis of a fictional spy thriller. This is what is actually happening in the United States government.

Outstanding… surprisingly fantastic narration of what could be a dry topic
Revisado: 12-05-24
First off the the information contained is essential to get a full picture of the political world we factually live in vs the ideological world we know nothing about but are told exists by the mainstream media. The author does a great job of laying out the deep state elites control over the 2 tier justice system along with strategic ways to get back to a constitutional republic controlling bureaucratic unelected officials from applying policy as if laws. He names names and produces the records/receipts to back it up.
That said one note here about the narrator he’s right up there with R.C. Bray and S. Runnette, in my opinion. Some narrators are just auditory honey for the soul and Richard Cefalious is going into my favorites files. More please.

Historia
Our ability to prevent and reverse these conditions—and feel incredible today—is under our control and simpler than we think. The key is our metabolic function—the most important and least understood factor in our overall health. As Dr. Casey Means explains in this book, nearly every health problem we face can be explained by how well the cells in our body create and use energy. To live free from frustrating symptoms and life-threatening disease, we need our cells to be optimally powered so that they can create “good energy,” the essential fuel that impacts every aspect of our wellbeing.

Super interesting!
Revisado: 12-04-24
I usually slog through this type of book because I need to know the information vs enjoy the listen. Surprisingly, Means is able to capture your attention while gently educating you through enjoyable lessons that you didn’t fully grasp the importance of in human health and nutrition. It’s really not boring! I fact checked a great deal of her resources and was easily able to confirm or more fully flesh out the information provided. There is also an AMAZING PDF that is provided. Print that baby out cause there is an abundance of additional reading materials, methods and tasty recipes that go along with “Good Energy”.
Really well done and well worth a credit!
* since I have also ordered in hardback for the book shelf to loan out! Seriously a really good resource for those in healthcare!

Historia
The War on Warriors uncovers the deep roots of our dysfunction—a society that has forgotten the men who take risks, cut through red tape, and get their hands dirty. The only kind of men prepared to face the dangers that the Left pretends don’t exist. Unlike issues of education or taxes or crime, this problem doesn’t have a zip code solution. We can’t move away from it. We can’t avoid it. We have only one Pentagon. Either we take it back or surrender it altogether.

Jaw dropping and inspiring
Revisado: 12-04-24
Being a military family for 18 years we’ve seen the steady decline of readiness and professionalism first hand. This book captures the heart and soul of the front line hero’s who have been betrayed and lied to by the bureaucratic generals and DC swamp who eagerly trade wealth, power and prestige for the blood of America’s sons and daughters who serve.
Listen to it but better yet go do some actual homework and fact check his claims and you will find how vulnerable our homeland is and unprepared our military will be if confronted with a real crisis due mainly because the mission is DEI and inclusion not preparedness and capability. The military is not about inclusion it’s precisely about lethality and overwhelming force, to protect our homeland. It is the hammer that drives unyielding forces back.
There is HOPE in this book for a way forward back to the values and formidable might the United States Military once commanded. Those of us sticking it out in the active duty services are cheering for you Sir! We look forward to speaking freely and not labeled racist or bigots because we speak facts not fiction. We look forward to our leaders standing up for us against the DC bureaucracy and hold the line against using the country’s fighting force as lab rats to test potentially dangerous vaccines on or loose your job and pension. More importantly we look towards a future where our children and grandchildren who serve can do so with pride, and competence against those who mean us harm once again!

Ok I really don’t leave a lot of reviews but this one I had too. If you’re a DOG person just go ahead get the series worth every penny you can thank me later. I laughed so hard I woke my husband up from a sound sleep just to have him listen to it and for days we have joked and laughed ourselves silly over the bacon passage! We just want to know if there will ever be a pancakes?! IYKYK! I laughed and I cried (but not too much) and I actually thought about the truth of the matter because there is a beauty in the symbiotic relationship Robinson is eluding to in this delightful heartwarming FREaKIN hilarious sci-fi fun. Thanks dude … seriously you made my heart smile and I choose your view too!

Historia
All Systems Red is the tense first science fiction adventure novella in Martha Wells' series The Murderbot Diaries. For fans of Westworld, Ex Machina, Ann Leckie's Imperial Raadch series, or Iain M. Banks' Culture novels. The main character is a deadly security droid that has bucked its restrictive programming and is balanced between contemplative self-discovery and an idle instinct to kill all humans.

The series should be one book
Revisado: 12-19-23
I love the premise of this storyline and the author has done a great job fleshing out the characters but the entire series should really be one book not a series of published chapters. They barely get started and the “book” is over. If this is targeted to the young adult genre then the language is pretty foul. That said the themes explored on humanity and what comprises human behavior and expectation of the the experience of life are more adult concepts that are great to dive into the psychological aspects and it’s all peppered with just enough snark to make Murderbot endearing to the reader.
Great mind candy for the casual sci-fi fan and really the only complaint is that the series is portrayed as books but they really are entries or chapters to a larger book.

Revisado: 12-30-21
Wow just wow! I’m not in the medical field but molecular and micro biology were my fun electives in college and some of the media miss information surrounding RNA virus and immunotherapies has bugged the crap out of me since before Covid ramped up and became a thing. I suspect this review will be scalped by the audible culture checkers simply because I’m not in line with narrative. If it posts and you want some real interesting facts about conflict of interest in the production and fallibility of the Covid money machine then read this book. Fauci should be in prison not leading the CDC or the plandemic and certainly should not be trusted.
Do your own thinking and fact checking and read the book!
