Definitely not the best
Revisado: 12-13-11
Would you try another book from James Patterson and/or Andre Braugher and Zach Grenier ?
I'm not so sure after listening to this one
What do you think your next listen will be?
Not James Patterson
What didn’t you like about Andre Braugher and Zach Grenier ’s performance?
I enjoyed Andre Braugher, but Zach Grenier was just awful; his supposed Arab accents were actually German. He mispronounced everything -- but then the material was so bad, it was just as well.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Anger at the cardboard cutout caricature stereotype terrorists, and extreme disappointment in the lack of plot development. I have been a James Patterson/Alex Cross fan from way back, but now I'm not so sure.

Disappointing
Revisado: 12-13-11
What could Barbara Delinsky have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
The story just isn't believable. I'm black from a family that has mixed races generations back but African American within the on both sides for the last four. All four of my children were born with straight hair and skin that appeared Caucasian; black babies darken up over a period of weeks and their hair curls likewise. It's extremely rare for mixed race children to come out with color and curly hair, so from the beginning this story was just ridiculous. I was just so disappointed. Not only in the author, but kept wondering, is this how the average white person really thinks about race? Oh my God.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Karen White?
The narrator was fine -- it was the story.

Winner of both the Giller Prize and the Commonwealth Writers' Prize, The Polished Hoe is acclaimed author Austin Clarke's masterpiece. Neverending ditto
Revisado: 03-22-10
I must heartily agree with the previous reviewer; this book just keeps going on and on and on with no apparent point. I hung in there through the first part and a bit into the second, desperately waiting for something to happen. If it did, I'll never know because I gave up. Very disappointing.
