AI still needs to progress a LOT...
Revisado: 03-06-24
I had to put at least one star for the review to be accepted, but this is unfair to the writers. I have no idea if the story is good or not. The foreign languages are mangled, the intonation so off it is hard to follow what is going on... Bring back the voice actors, please!

Well written book, interesting story.

Narrator a bit breathy and dramatic on the non dialogue bits. But I forgot to be annoyed after a while...

Translate the quotes!!!
Revisado: 03-21-23
Most of the quotes are in French, and they are so badly read that they are reduced to gibberish. Obviously most of the readers didn't care to understand them, or someone would have noticed. They are often crucial to the understanding of what Nietzsche is saying, so it is a pity. I had to listen to each several times to make some sense of them, and I am French... If you insist on keeping the original text, you should at least find a narrator that doesn't butcher the language, or add an English translation at the end of each quote. Otherwise, this is an interesting collection...

Historia
While investigating Blackston’s recent activities, FBI Agent Jeremy Winter stumbles upon a string of missing persons within state parks. The worst narrator ever...
Revisado: 04-08-21
The narrator should learn to read before he endeavours to read to anyone else. He interrupts the sentences at the wrong places so often, one has to wonder if he is aware of the story at all. Listening to him, I felt he was probably thinking of last night's game or putting together his shopping list for the next day. He also made the 5 year-old girl sound like a heavy smoker. Turned a decent story into a chore...

Historia
Narrated by Emmy Award–winning actor Martin Sheen, The Home Front: Life in America During World War II takes listeners into the lives of Americans at home—part of the Greatest Generation—who supported the war effort and sustained the country during wartime. The war brought immediate, life-changing shifts: the rationing of meat, dairy products, and sugar; an explosion of war-related jobs; and, despite mixed signals, a greater role for women working outside the home.

I really loved listening. I didn't put 5 stars for the performance only because the quality of some of the recordings, due to their age, made them difficult to understand sometimes. But it really helped me understand the situation in the US today...
