I never thought I’d pick up a golf romance but here we are, and it did not disappoint! I loved Josephine and Wells. They played so well off of each other with the banter, humor, and vulnerabilities. He was so gone for her!!
The spice was spicin’ and I am looking forward to picking up the next book (I’m already obsessed with them with the tiny glimpse we got in this book).

Callie Dalton narrated this one solo. I am all for solo narration, and Callie absolutely crushed it, but with dual POV’s I think it would have added to have a male narrator. It did not detract from the story but could have elevated the audio experience. Would still highly recommend though!

This was such a fun read! Beckett and Liv are a great match. He has the patience and confidence to handle her family, living situation, and insecurities. She is the chaos and kindness he needs for balance. I loved Beckett’s relationships with all the kiddos and how they all embrace their nicknames.
The spanx scene had me in tears I was laughing so hard. And everyone’s poor bank accounts- those twins are set for life!

I listened to the audio- it was duet narrated by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell. They are the ultimate pair so of course this was an amazing audiobook!

I’m looking forward to the books for the other three moms. I have a feeling many shenanigans will ensue!

Loved this book. Kyle “the King of Country” wants to leave music, and Piper is sent to his Texas ranch by his music label to talk him into continuing his career. If she can sway him, she’s promised a promotion to her dream job, which is finding new talent.
I love Charlotte’s writing. She makes characters endearing but flawed, and in those flaws we can really connect to who they are. Kyle is hurt and lost and wants to change his life’s trajectory. Piper feels stagnant in her job and sees this opportunity for growth and happiness. These two together seem like they wouldn’t fit, but their time on the ranch together really lets them open up and find a connection between each other.
Their family dynamics were a great addition to the story as well. Piper’s family are all cops and can’t quite understand her love of music, but in the end family is there to support, not judge. And I loved aunt Mabel’s words of wisdom (however vague they may be).

This was dual narrated by Zachary Webber and Andi Arnt. Both are great narrators and I thought they fit the characters really well.
Highly recommend this one!

Mariana Zapata must be a witch because she writes MAGIC.
Kulti is an absolute slow burn. And if you think you know what a slow burn is, this is slower lol. I don’t think they have a meaningful conversation until about 40%, and there is nothing spicy until the last few chapters. But the way MZ builds the tension is unlike anything else. You know that scene in Pride & Prejudice (2005) where Darcy grabs Lizzie’s hand as she’s entering the coach? It’s that but magnified.

Kulti follows Reiner Kulti, a retired soccer player, and Sal Casillas, a current Women’s league player. Reiner (Ray) becomes assistant head coach for the team Sal plays on. They start off with an aloof and cold relationship, but it slowly warms as they spend time together. Reiner’s life in the public eye doesn’t make their friendship easy, and roadblocks arise as they spend more and more time together. Sal has to decide if the publicity is worth upending her spot on the team, and ultimately her under-the-radar way of life.

I loved the way Sal’s family supported her soccer career, and how her dad was such a fan of Kulti that he would freeze up when they talked (his birthday scene was the best). I loved that Reiner took on a protective role to Sal, and did whatever he could in her best interest. And I loved that Sal seems like a ‘robot’ on the outside, but while hearing her inner monologue we get to know how much she cares for others, almost to a fault.

I listened to the audiobook this time around (I’ve eyeballed this one multiple times). I love Callie Dalton and am excited anytime I see her name on a title. She gives each character their own distinct voice and plays the emotions without going overboard. The story is single POV and she was able to carry it well.

If you like slow burn, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, and great narration, I highly recommend this book!

I have listened to this book multiple times, and it never gets old! Ethan and Rachel have been frenemies since middle school. The saying “There’s a fine line between love and hate” is exactly how this book plays out. They keep in touch until their final year in college, when they end up rooming together. They are in full enemy mode until one kiss changes everything.
Whitney always writes over the top characters. Ethan & Rachel act immature in their disdain for each other, but the underlying care is what makes this story for me. Do I roll my eyes with some of their antics? Yes. But the constant messaging between them, even if their words weren’t always nice, showed that they were important to each other. And when the dam broke?? Whew. Delish.
There is a chapter on Rachel’s mom dying if that is a trigger for you. However I think Whitney wrote it beautifully. Ethan’s actions make me cry every time.

This was dual narrated by Erin Mallon and Joe Arden. I love Erin’s voice, especially her male voice. Both Joe & Erin were great in their deliveries of all the quips and digs between the two mc’s.

The story is great, the narration is fantastic, and if you like silly enemies-to-lovers, I highly recommend this book.

Viper starts with Wes having troubles within his band and coming to terms with potentially leaving/ being replaced. He runs into Hannah, the little sister to his bandmate Holland, who he has known for years and they strike up a close friendship. I really liked the friendship between Hannah & Wes. They were so supportive of each other and really made each other want to be better. Their foray into a romantic relationship was a little rocky and took me a while to believe in it. It was hard to think Wes was good enough for Hannah (honestly, for a good chunk of the book he wasn’t) and that Hannah was all in with Wes. But they rode it out, and once they did figure it all out, I was excited to see them together and blending their love with the music they created. I really enjoyed the song lyrics being such an important part of this story and I loved when Wes & Hannah spent time writing together. That’s when they really shined.

This book is supposed to be a standalone but I would suggest at least reading book 2 prior to this. I felt a lot of what happened in book 2 was skimmed over and not explained, so I felt lost for pieces of it, especially Wes & Holland’s falling out. The reconciliation between the two would have felt more genuine if I knew their backstory more in depth.

This audio was solo narrated by Joe Arden circa 2019. He gave Wes the tortured hero vibe, and voiced Hannah’s struggle with depression in a way that really showed how much she was hurting. Joe is always a treat to listen to and he did a great job on this story.

I received this book for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.

I really wanted to like this one. I’m a sucker for second chance, so this sounded right up my alley. I enjoyed the beginning of this book but it got stale around 60%. I didn’t DNF but probably should have. I got tired of Pearl’s wishy-washy thoughts and didn’t like how she reacted in the third act conflict.
The narration is what kept me going until the end. I hadn’t listened to January Lavoy before and now I’m adding her to my list of favorites. It may not have been my favorite story, but glad I listened so I got exposure to her.

Full stop, I bought this purely for the narrator pairing. However I was delighted by the story! It was a fun and cute read. Briggs starts off in a bit of a (big) pickle. The solution is to fake date his best friend’s little sister- who is also part of his PR team. It was a little far fetched how *that* was the solution to his legal woes- but hey, I’m here for it.

It doesn’t take long for Briggs and Autumn to act on the spark between them. She falls hard, he falls harder, and they waded through the messiness of their jobs, families, and legal troubles together. I enjoyed the story for what it was- pretty low angst, a little drama, and an HEA wrapped up in a perfect little bow.
Just an FYI, there is discussion of cancer in this book (of a family member, not the main characters) if that is a trigger for you.

This was dual narrated by Christian and Erin- both of whom I love. This pairing was everything! They complemented each other very well and I felt like they fit each of the characters.

This was a short, fun read. Teagan and Micah have an unconventional meeting and instantly feel chemistry. Her brother is a good friend of Micah and he has warned Micah to stay away. Doesn’t take long to break that promise, and they have to navigate their feelings while keeping it all a secret. In all honesty, they weren’t great at hiding it and it doesn’t take long for her brother to find out. I liked how they stood up for each other when Teagan’s brother found out, but wish they would have stuck with it instead of Micah immediately letting Teagan go. Overall there were no crazy twists and turns, but a decent story where I was smiling when they got their HEA.
Joe & Maxine are always a pleasure to listen to. I’ve been listening to older audios and it’s fun to see how narrators improve their craft over time.

Jescie wrote a book that, quite frankly, I couldn’t stand the characters but couldn’t put it down. Hawke and Cole had a very hard fought happy ending. It was a struggle watching Cole teeter back and forth between Hawke and Patrick. As an outside party it’s easy to see how horrible Patrick is, but he is all Cole has ever known. And I don’t know about you, but it can be hard moving on from something or someone you’ve known for so long, even if you know it isn’t good for you.
Hawke has been through so much in his life, and he has grown to only depend on himself. Cole is someone who can break the armor he has put up, and it was heart wrenching watching him finally let those walls down.
Both Avery and Joe gave this book their all. I couldn’t have chosen a better Hawke & Cole.
It’s not an easy book, but it is a beautiful story, and I don’t regret reading it at all.
