Captured and Consumed by a Change of Life Story

The essence of the challenges of coming into consciousness in the world around you.

The good, the exciting, the bad, the ugly, the joy, the innocence and the Power, all came alive in this story. This is a FULL Life story.

If you don’t like seeing and empathizing with ALL of life, you might not like reading this story... but then again if you let yourself make it to the end you might appreciate have experienced a part of your world worth getting to know about.

I could relate to every character in this story and yet part of me would like to deny that to be true.
Emma and the excitement of exploring the unknown world of tones going over the phone line... the next best thing to personally going into outer space.
Emma’s dad and his fumbling attempts to explore who he was outside of being a husband and a father. Her mother holding onto her purpose in life, even when her commitments are costing her everything.
Emma’s friends and the glimpse at how little we know about others and yet how strong our connection to them can be.
Do we even try to understand when that almost instantaneous knowing “this is where I belong” blindsides us.
Bill Connolly, captured by that age old monster, of the younger generation is going to hell, there is no hope for them and we must stop this immoral stampede they are bringing into my not so perfect world.

I stayed up listening to this production all night so don’t start it as you are going to bed, at 11:00 pm... and yet it was well worth it.

More than well done! and I don’t tend to give out compliments.

I am so unhappy this ever had to come to an end!

It snagged me in without me even realizing it.

It took me from ho-hum to huh? to What? to no No NO! Don't end now!

Oldie and Goodie

I enjoyed the story and especially the humor! Loved the characters!
Long time since I originally read it and it's still just as good! I laughed all the way through...

Different flavor...

I read the story once and felt like there were a lot of details I didn't weave into the plot at the time. Maybe it was me and distractions in my life.

About a week later I was stuck waiting for someone and decided to go back through the beginning of the story.

I was surprised when got totally sucked into these people, their passions and fears and secrets! Definitely a 5 when I can enjoy a book this much on a 2nd run through.

I enjoy most Jayne Krentz' books in all her timeframes. This left me wanting more. NOW! Please. It is going to be hard waiting.

One of my All Time Favorite Books

Where does The Rithmatist rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have now read (and listened to) The Rithmatist 4 times and every time I get more out of it.

What did you like best about this story?

The intricacy of the small hints of the universe we are looking into is addictive... the baby step by step exposure of what is going on always leaves more to become aware of in the next read.

What about Michael Kramer’s performance did you like?

I was sucked into the story and the characters all the way!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The combining of skills between Melody and Joel in competitive and yet complementary interactions was ingenious! Probably my favorite scene but maybe each scene in the book was my favorite as I was involved in the unfolding of the story.

Any additional comments?

Can't wait for the follow-up!
