In Scotland, the Gandiegow quilters are in an uproar when their favorite fictional quilters - the Buttermilk Guild - are killed off by a best-selling mystery author. Diana McKellen is called in by the publisher to fix this PR nightmare. It's said, there's no such thing as bad publicity, but Diana questions this long-standing notion when an editor is murdered at a book signing.

Not the best in series
Revisado: 12-14-22
The character Diane is too whiny and predictable. This book, in my opinion, was not like the others in the series. I could not stay focused, especially when Diane was talking.

Historia
Kit Woodhouse's matchmaking business is such a success, she's expanding to the Highlands of Scotland, where the hot, prosperous, and kilted are anxious to connect. Now, looking to fill her stable with eligible bachelors, Kit's arrived in Gandiegow to recruit potential Real Men of Scotland. It's not until she meets her tour guide that she discovers just how real they can be. With his sexy grin, jeans, and black wellies, Ramsay Armstrong is an unpolished hulk of a Scottish fisherman - and a skeptic when it comes to romance.

Too predictable but I still enjoyed it - I like the characters and I’m listening to the series in sequence.

Historia
To live in a pristine land unchanged by man... to roam a wilderness through which few other humans have passed... to choose an idyllic site, cut trees and build a log cabin... to be a self-sufficient craftsman, making what is needed from materials available... to be not at odds with the world but content with one's own thoughts and company. Thousands have had such dreams, but Richard Proenneke lived them.

Historia
Karol Truman provides a comprehensive and enlightening resource for getting in touch with unresolved feelings which, she explains, can distort not only happiness but also health and well-being. Leaving no emotion unnamed, and in fact listing around 750 labels for feelings, Truman helps identify problem areas, and offers a "script" to help process the feelings, replacing the negative feeling with a new, positive outlook.

Abysmal Narration
Revisado: 02-15-20
I have been trying to persevere through this book because it’s a good message. HOWEVER, the computerized voice is something I can’t get used to. I really don’t understand how this narration was accepted. I hope audible and the author recognize this.

Unfiltered. Unapologetic. Older, but not wiser, Lancaster goes back to basics in this hilarious essay collection about everything from taking community policing classes to accidentally getting high with her waiter after a fancy dinner. These are the tales she'd tell if she met you in a bar... if she weren't too lazy to put on pants and go to a bar. Offering advice ranging from how to remain happily married to a man who refuses to blow his damn nose already to not creating An Incident at the cheese counter during an attempt at Whole30, she's you, only louder.

I liked this book
Revisado: 02-11-20
Until you get to the part where you repeated "MO JI TO" over and over again. We get the point after the first or second time you say it. I think you lost me after that chapter even though I tried to focus. It was annoying (to me) but perhaps it won't bother other readers. (And I like a good mojito) Up to that point, I thought your stories were good and relatable.

Historia
When she was suddenly given the opportunity of a new life in rural Jutland, journalist and archetypal Londoner Helen Russell discovered a startling statistic: the happiest place on earth isn't Disneyland but Denmark, a land often thought of by foreigners as consisting entirely of long, dark winters, cured herring, Lego and pastries. What is the secret to their success? Are happy Danes born or made?

Best narration EVER!
Revisado: 01-24-20
The story is fantastic but I believe Lucy Price-Lewis has done a brilliant job narrating. I felt like I was right there experiencing life's changes with Helen and her husband. I've been contemplating a change in my life, similar to what the author has done. I think this sealed the deal for me. This is definitely LOL funny, while introducing us to a culture that many of us may have a difficult time identifying with. We are too wrapped up in ourselves, careers, and worrying about keeping up with the Jones' My home is up for sale at the moment and I have no idea where I am headed. I hope my next adventure is happy like this. I've ordered other books by Helen since reading this.... and kudos to all,

We should all have a Rob Lowe in our life
Revisado: 12-30-19
Love this guy and his ability to share his stories with his new found audible friends. After reading/listening to Rob, I feel like I know this dude. He has the ability to tell his story with emotion, (I actually felt the hurt from his description of Normandy). I've laughed throughout the book but more than that, I felt like I was on the journey with Rob. He is humble and honest and allowed the listener to get a feel of what it's like behind the scenes. Thanks for making this so "real". A guy's guy, leading man, supporting actor, a once upon a time ladies man, husband/father, familiy man, producer, director, author..............and yet so humble. Keep that sense of humor and keep it real. From the looks of it, your boys and wife will always help you remain true to your self. Can I clone you, please? :-)
