Historia
Always on the periphery, looking on, young Frankie Howe was never quite sure enough of herself to take center stage—after all, life had already judged her harshly. Now old, Frankie finds it easier to forget the life that came before. Then Damian, a young Irish caretaker, arrives at her London flat, there to keep an eye on her as she recovers from a fall. A memory is sparked, and the past crackles into life as Damian listens to the story Frankie has kept stored away all these years.

Not for me
Revisado: 04-08-23
Ugh, this was painful. I’m a huge Friends fan and of course wanted to support Perry when this book was released. BUT, I’ve only been able to get through about the first 4 chapters and can’t seem to make myself go back. I agree with many of the other reviews that describe in depth the trouble with the timeline, speech and narration as well as the disappointing approach he takes while telling his story. I just can’t listen anymore.

I loved it
Revisado: 06-25-21
As a true Laker fan, I loved this book. It provides the unseen parts of the mysterious “bubble” that I personally was intrigued to learn. And can I just say how much more I appreciate Dudley and the role he played on this team. Everyone can’t be Labron, but everyone can and should contribute their talents. Strong work Mr. Dudley!

Historia
In this intimate, haunting, literary memoir read by the author, an American icon tells her story for the first time, in her own gorgeous words - about a challenging and lonely childhood, the craft that helped her find her voice, and a powerful emotional legacy that shaped her journey as a daughter and a mother.

Not great
Revisado: 06-25-21
I love Sally Field and her “performance” of this book is good. But the stories were hard to invest in. In fact, I didn’t even finish the book.

Typical Giffin
Revisado: 06-25-21
Don’t get me wrong, I like Emily Giffin. Her stories are easy and entertaining reads that require little effort or imagination on the readers part. This story is no different. It’s a perfect beachside or poolside read. The narration was great which is an added bonus.

Hours of my life I’ll never get back...
Revisado: 03-11-20
I agree with the other reviews that say NONE of the characters in this book are likable! They’re all varying degrees of awful. And seriously, they way they behave certainly does not speak well of the professional, educated women of today’s society. Terribly disappointed in this book.
