Where are you Hollywood?!!

If this series is not being made into a movie or tv series, it’s a total crime and waste of opportunity. As an avid reader/listener, I’m not sure how I am just discovering Blake’s work, but it’s so eloquent, beautifully distinguishable between characters and their stories, and captivating from start to finish. And Amy Landon?? There is no narrator in existence who could have brought life to these characters like she did. To readers: start with Queens of Fenbern. It’s listed at the bottom of the series list, but it is the prequel to book 1. BUY IT!!

Whoa. Why has this book not been on my radar?!

Okay, so let me tell you how this went down…this book shows up in my recs, the narrator pulls me in with the preview, the story forces me to rapidly consume in one sitting! Penn Cole, your writing is hypnotic, storyline impeccable. And Amanda Dolan - your execution is multilayered and entertaining and captivating. I am already halfway through book two in less than 48 hours! Author and narrator on my must listen list eternally!

Mass creates another magical world

Mass is amazing at creating worlds down to every little minute detail. So much so that you believe they are just another planet floating out in the universe somewhere. If you're an ACOTAR fan, you will love the first book of what is sure to be another series you read over and again.

Unexpected treasure...

I bought this book without knowing the author, based on vague intrest in the plot. Glad I did. This is the sort of story that each reader will walk away with a different take. For me, it reminded me that I don't know where I'll be or even who I'll be years down the road. Live life without expectation and love the important people in your life. I almost wish people would go into it blind without reading the blurb!!

I didn't know what I was getting into...

Thank God for vague, brilliantly written blurbs- otherwise, I probably wouldn't have read this series. Apparently, I've become complacent in my story selection. But there is NOTHING ordinary about this story.
In true Reiss fashion, it is a masterpiece of language and dynamic characters with true life dialogue only she knows how to create. But this storyline is unlike anything I have EVER read. That's all I'm going to say, because like her blurb, I feel it best to go into this one blind and strapped in for the ride.

Shen never disappoints- but this one was special.

I've grown to love Shen for her A-hole heros and witty heroines. But this story got in my feels.The narration was perfect!

Without giving anything away; it went in an unexpected direction, which was a very welcome surprise. I love when a storyline goes somewhere I don't see coming. Definitely binge reading her back log of books.

This is my first Kent read. I just bought 5 more of her books. If they are as eloquently dark and depraved as this one, Kent will be on my auto-buy list from now on. The narration was so, so good too!

My favorite listen of the year!

This story was amazing, but it was the characters and their dynamics that captured me. I am so glad I listened to this instead of reading in print, because Lauren Fortgang put on the performance of a lifetime. She brought a great story to life in a way that can only be done with a rare talent in performance art. Each character had their own voice, and by the end of the series, I felt like I knew them. Cannot wait to introduce this series to my daughter! Thank you Leigh Bardugo for creating this world!
