An Amazing Trilogy. What a storyteller.

This was a great series of books. I like how the author moves the story along
by switching points of view. The main character is one of multiple protagonists who work together to build multiple stories that are all intertwined to tell an epic tale of adventure. A great commentary on the effects culture has on core beliefs, but that being exposed to new ideas brings about growth. I was surprisingly okay with how it ended. It all made sense.

My Favorite Georgette Heyer Book

A fun, lighthearted story. The narration isn’t bad, I think the narrator took great pains to be authentic when it came to Freddy being a pink of the ton, but not always easy on the ears. This story is my all time favorite of Georgette Heyer’s Regency romances, and then The Masqueraders and The Grand Sophy. Kitty is a good heroine, but Freddy is my favorite character.

I have never made it past the first 10 minutes or so because it works so well. Diddy’s voice is so relaxing. Now when I hear it I’m like Pavlov’s dog, and I go right to sleep!

Stephen King does not disappoint. Fans of fantasy that can sometimes scare you half to death will enjoy “Fairytale”. Charlie Reade is a 17 year-old who falls in love with a old dog and will go to great lengths to try and heal her. But what starts out as a simple, straightforward trip to an “other” world turns into much more because “cowards bring presents” and Charlie is no coward. Filled with complex characters and evil antagonists, “Fairytale” is so engaging that I couldn’t stop listening. I fully expected this book to last me over two weeks and I finished it in six days. Seth Numich’s stellar narration, along with King himself, enhanced the story with a wide range of voices that were distinctly unique.

This book is a real find for readers who enjoy paranormal/fantasy romance novels. Set in the late 21st century, this book is an interesting blend of science fiction and mythology. The plot is original, with an interesting conflict and satisfying characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and will be getting the next two in the series.
