I came across the TIK tok reviewing this book and i gave it a try. I didn’t realize it was the author rating their own book LOL. Way it’s written is def more YA, not new YA just YA. Some of the language or street slang that is used is a bit annoying considering we are talking about 30yr olds. Had potential. Also, I didn’t do research but I just feel like the narrator is the author and I couldn’t get their face out of my head while listening to this story.

I’m enjoying the story but the narration is 100% making me want to DNF. But I’m not. This is prob a time you should read the book and skip the audiobook.

Great novel in every way but do I agree? F NO!

Dom and Sean will be more of a man than Tobias will ever be. They were the only people that actually loved unconditionally and were loyal. Sean’s reason why he didn’t claim her when asked says enough. Dom’s last words to Tobias and Cecilia… says even more. As the audience we all know Dom and Sean or one of them should have been end of for Cecilia. But this isn’t about them is it? It’s about Cecilia’s choice. She choice violence, toxicity and a roller coaster of a life but it’s her choice. She may have been Dom’s and Sean’s love of their lives but unfortunately Tobias was hers. Also, she’s always lead with her pus$$ and we all know it. She’s not ashamed of it so we can’t judge her. I wonder if Kate Steward meant to do all that.

Tobias was everything he blamed his brothers were. EVERYTHING. He was deflecting. He was ashamed and embarrassed of how weak he realized he was and how stronger and more of leaders Dom and Sean were compared to him. He exiled them because he knew it and he was scared of facing the truth.

Great story and the narration was top tier! Always. Loved the series, accept the ending but do I agree? HELL NO!!! I think I would even want Tyler to be a surprise and really show Cecilia how a man truly loves unconditionally and what loyalty really feels, sounds and looks like. But even Tyler is more loyal than Tobias and he would never.

Also, Cecilia has so much love left to give… to Sean but she was not given the liberty to love how she has and could love because Tobias for the 1 millionth time TOBIAS isn’t Sean.

This was everything I did not expect

So much better than smut. lol I’m serious. This book was everything. I did not expect it to get me like it did. Lori Prince has elevated her narration. I noticed this also while listening to The Snowball Effect. But this is about how Nicole Maser just freaking topped all books I’ve read/listened to in a really long time.

Reed is NOT what you want him to be!

Reed is a gaslighter, toxic, weak, and a user. I personally think he did as much damage as her father. We can’t, but he does. This is all it can be but gets more. I don’t want you but no one can have you. Biggest ick. Also, why does every abused girl have to like it rough? Has to end up with another violent man and call it “protective?” It gets old. In real life, it would have been too late for Reed to give it a HEA. “Are you here to save me?” NOT COMET! You’re stronger than him. He’s a little pussy!

Story Review:
Great story. Twists and blind sided. The story itself is great. Can’t wait for 2nd book.
Audiobook review:
The voice for Denver is so wrong! Sounds like a 80 yr old instead of an older Brad Pitt lookalike. Voice pairing for Frankie and Wolf… chefs kiss. Kodi and Leo… not bad but also does not match their description.

Spoilerish (proceed with caution):
I hate who she choice to give herself to. To the greediest of them all but not either of the only two that would sacrifice themselves, pain themselves for her unconditional love? For once, I want the MFC in a “why choice” to actually pick the right one. But I guess our hearts wouldn’t hurt if that’s the way the story goes. Makes for good sales.

Perfect love story

It’s just good. Well worth it. It’s classy and tasteful and angst. Not all 5 star books need to be smut or excess amount of sex scene. This was just right.

Loved it. Funny, sexy, spicy, painful. Also, I don’t like Army. Like AT ALL. Wish these audiobooks would come with background music because PD has great taste in music. Imagine hearing Chromatics playing in the background in that scene. Ugh. Loved it all. Need more

Excellent but CLAY!!!

SPOILER (kind of): Loved everything about this story but I feel like Clay doesn’t deserve this happy forgiving ending. What he did and took from a girl he KNEW wasn’t into him/males for his pride and ego. No thanks.
