This is an adolescent fairy tale. Raise your hand if you are in a life-or-death situation and you let yourself be led by a kid who never even drove a car until after TSHTF! He has so much life experience that you will let him take charge.
No way! Give me a break, this is a fantasy for kids.

Never have I listened to something as captivating as this. I don't have credits to burn and this is worth everyone.
Do yourself a favor and get this book, only if you are not an EMT, Fireman, or in the Military. You guys need to stay focused. The rest of us can afford to get so caught up you can't stop listening! Action, fighting and humor. What more do you want. Great narration as well. This coming from an R.C. Bray fan.

I loved the other books in this series but this one I couldn't even finish. What happened!! It was a reproduction of a poor Hollywood movie about combat from someone who never served. I never charged the enemy screaming the name of a fallen Battle Buddy and who cries or thinks about crying every day?
Believe me, as regular Army, Reservists are a lot tougher than that. I'm going back to Kublar now, you know something good to listen to.
Save yourself the credit, I warned you....

A credit for a few chapters!

What's up with having to pay by the chapter it seems? I'm already on the next book and still not very far in the story. All this could have been done in one chapter. Nothing apocalyptic about this story. The only way you know its supposed to be is when the narrator mentions no power. Big deal, no one seems to be struggling, having to use their wits to survive,
what a let down. No more of my money for this waste.

This book was for 12 year old X-Box players.

Say OhhhRaaa as fast as possible in the next 30 seconds and you still will not have said it enough to beat how many times it's said in this book. The author knows nothing of the military. It's like this, you are a bad a** highly trained Legionnaire and rounds are furiously coming down range at you and your fire team, your buddy gets hit, the medic starts treating him, you stop dishing out controlled fire, taking your weapon out of the fight to bother the medic with "Is he gonna be alright," "is he gonna be alright" ....NOT! Then you have a Sergeant who can't control himself under fire, who can't lead his men? What a disgrace to the NCO Corps. This book is a joke. The narrator also failed at trying to sound hard. It takes more than a deep voice to be a life taker. I could go on and on. Take me back to Kublar with the adults and real fighters, Even a Point could write better.

I didn't want it to end but when it did the there was nothing lacking...everything fit.
Narration was great but hard to hear at times when I was driving. All in all an outstanding book and I got full value for the credits spent!
