Bear Grylls is a man who has always sought the ultimate in adventure. Growing up on the Isle of Wight, he was taught by his father to sail and climb at an early age. As a teenager he found identity and purpose through both mountaineering and martial arts, which led the young adventurer to the foothills of the mighty Himalaya and a grandmaster's karate training camp in Japan.

Brilliant!

I can't understand why people believe this to be so "far fetched"? It's a strange world and strange things happen. As to it being Gory, well so is life! The fact people can't believe that the population would degenerate into savagery so quickly just need to open their eyes and look around...I live in Africa and the brutality surrounding me is an every day fact of life. The story is very interesting and I've been absorbed in it right through the trilogy. The Wiccan aspect does tend to get a little bit annoying but in no way detracts from the story. I will definitely putting this range of books in my collectors bookshelf.

Absolutely shocked!
Revisado: 11-28-08
I bought this book yesterday, looking forward to another great listen. I've got to say I'm shocked and very disgusted by the narrator. He sounds like a Bot in places and has no idea how to play different characters. His accents are pathetic! French ambassadors sound like russian mafia thugs
I've listened to a lot of audiobooks and heard some bad ones but this is so bad I can't listen to it!!
I have deleted this from my computer and certainly won't be purchasing any more books by this narrator, which is a pity because he's ruining a good authors work. I don't complain often but this was so bad I had to say something.
