Historia
Seth is a blind musician, part of a traveling tent revival. He's cute, mystically talented, and quotes the Bible at every turn. His soul is pure enough to fill Abaddon's quota for months to come, and Abaddon is determined to claim it. The problem? There's the revival foreman who watches Abaddon's every move. Then there's the mystery of Seth's many unusual talents. Finally, there's Abaddon himself. He's beginning to like Seth a bit too much. Maybe Seth deserves something better than damnation.

Couldn’t get past the first minute
Revisado: 04-14-20
The story might be great but I couldn’t get past the first minute of the performance. The narrator does pronounce the main characters name correctly. The character is Abaddon which has I defined pronunciation and is used in multiple books by other authors. The narrator says it as (Ab • add • on) and not the correctly as every other narrator I’ve ever heard (A • BAD • DON). Ugh.

Historia
You see plenty of strange things when you're a PI in Las Vegas, but even that couldn't prepare ex-cop Robert Hoskins for what was to come. At first he couldn't believe that all those stories he'd been told as a child were true. But hearing that the fae had taken the casinos over from the mob was something else. Elves, dwarves, werewolves and faeries were just the beginning and battling dark mages, the opening act.

Sound quality is echoey
Revisado: 12-08-17
The story and narrator did a fine job, but the sound quality is very tinny. At many times it sounds as if there is an echo.

Would you try another book from J.A. Redmerski and/or Kate Reinders?
It's a super tired story with way to much against but the performer does alright with what she is given

Historia
When a 15-year-old girl is abducted by vampires, it’s up to U.S. Marshal Anita Blake to find her. And when she does, she’s faced with something she’s never seen before: a terrifyingly ordinary group of people - kids, grandparents, soccer moms - all recently turned and willing to die to avoid serving a master. And where there’s one martyr, there will be more.

very short plot
Revisado: 07-22-12
What did you like best about Kiss the Dead? What did you like least?
Kiss of Death had a potential for being a good story, except sadly Hamilton spent most of the book on Anita's sexcapades rather than actually telling a story. It starts with a plot and ends finishing the plot but over half of the book, the middle, is just one big sex scene. I understand what she's going for with character development and ,SPOILER, Anita begining to doubt if she can still be in law enforcement, but even that is part of end of the book.
Has Kiss the Dead turned you off from other books in this genre?
I believe this will be my last Anita Blake book
Was Kiss the Dead worth the listening time?
not really the themes are just rehashed versions of pervious books without anything new happening.
Any additional comments?
Its time for Anita to die or for her necromancy to come back to the forefront of the storyline and her sexual relationships to take a step back.
