Historia
From the depths of despair to the pinnacle of power, Matt's ascension to Dungeon Lord has been a crucible of blood and terror. But the higher he climbs, the more precarious his perch becomes. As winter's fingers close around his hard-won domain, Matt and his beleaguered allies yearn for respite. Instead, they face a nightmare beyond imagining. The Coronaught infection sweeps through the land like wildfire, twisting human flesh into abominations that defy sanity. Grotesque mutations stalk the shadows, their hunger insatiable. In this maelstrom of horror, Matt must be more than a leader.

By far worst entry yet
Revisado: 02-28-25
Why develop him into a super powerful storm titan then not have him use his powers basically at all. Books spent building his mana pool and learning how his gates worked to just have him run out of mana on a dumb shield and be basically useless again.. I don't understand why Jez makes these super powerful protagonist then basically doesn't utilize everything they built up and just finds a way to make the weak and helpless.. really hoping the next book isn't such a disappointment

Historia
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Skippy is everything
Revisado: 09-25-24
Honestly I wasn't that into this book for the first half but once Skippy comes into play it literally changes everything. If anyone is a bit meh about this series from the first several hours of this book hold on until chapters 9 and 10. Can't wait to start the next one!

Historia
There's a new player in the great game, and the Elders edicts hold no sway over them… Steve and the team hold the ship, but only for now. The world is swiftly waking to the new reality, the vultures are circling, and keeping the ship looks to be at least as hard as taking it ever was. Time is never on Steve's side, but the knowledge that he agreed to present himself before the only faction he's not at war with and that the Elders have no patience for delays only add to his stress.

Historia
Steve and the team survived the assault on their new home, and their enemies learned a valuable lesson about trespassing… their bodies now help form the very walls his people live within. The Old Ones have agreed to his offer. Steve has a month to get his affairs in order, then he must present himself before the oldest of his kind, and for now? He is to be left alone. As much as Steve has gained, he's lost access to the greatest of his advantages. It's only a matter of time before the edict expires, and unless he presents himself as agreed, it's open season on him and his group.

Very slow first half but finishes strong
Revisado: 08-07-24
The entire ship infiltration was way to drawn out. What should of been a few chapters ended up being half the damn book. Luckily it ends strong and keeps me excited to continue the series.
Jez seems to really enjoy building these strong characters then constantly breaking them down again. I'd love to get a series from him the hero doesn't constantly get "reset" and basically and have to regain their strength/powers all over again.

Matt and many of his people are alive, and they've found a new ally, more or less, but the damage done to the dungeon and its future are beyond measure. Time and great effort are needed to repair the cracks, to seal the warping and to rebuild, but the world after the fall isn't somewhere anyone can afford to wait around in. Matt and his people must push on, they must grow, they have to rise up if they are to have any chance of surviving.

worst of the series
Revisado: 06-27-24
Amazing series but this is by far the worst entry. Majority of the book is just building up the dungeon which is kind of nice change of pace as the other books were constant attacks but it just dragged on for so long. Then the whole trial dungeon didn't really feel like it added much to the story. Matt didn't rank up to his next class and it didn't really seem to add anything relevant to the story and just took away from all the other characters since he was trapped in there.
Hoping next book steps things up and Matt finally gets closer to his Storm Titan status.

Through the Monster Hunt app, Chase Knowles becomes the Alpha of two powerful Huntresses: one a half-dragon female fond of combat and banter, the other a cute warrior fond of reading spell books and wielding two killer blades. Their goal? Hunt these mythological creatures in the parks, rooftops, and back alleys of New York City; build a fighting party to compete in brawls and tournaments in the city and beyond; earn money; and try their damnedest not to get arrested.

Satisfying Conclusion
Revisado: 01-16-24
Overall was a satisfying end to the story. My main issue was how they never came up with a counter to Nadia. With all the tech and resources they had in their disposal how could they not come up with some sort of glasses to counter her light. Nadia basically foiled their plans 3 times because they didn't do anything to plan a counter for her. Also back in the facility why couldn't they of just snapped the snake head tattoo guy neck right when he entered the room. they were invisible and as soon as they trapped them and released the gas Riva or Jake could of ended him immediately while trying to subdue the others.
Aside from that it was a fun journey and the VO killed it on every level.

Historia
Ajax is one of Earth’s most elite, a Paladin pilot, and trusted to fly the most advanced starfighters humanity ever produced. His carrier and the rest of the fleet have fallen back, the recent damage from the elven betrayal making it impossible to stay in the fight. He knows they’ll return, and they’ll treat this world to the same kind of plasma bombardment that the elves had inflicted on Mother Earth. The real problem for Ajax, though, is that he’s parachuting down onto it now, his arm broken.

What a performance!
Revisado: 10-19-23
Having listened to at least a dozen books narrated by this duo this is by far Christophers best performance to date. He is now up there with Ray Porter and some of the other great audible narrators. The book was well written and keeps you engaged the entire time. I honestly wished it was a good 10+ hours longer. If you like science fiction you won't regret this one .

Historia
Martin loved his job, believing he truly changed the world for the better. As a researcher at Replica Imagination, he was a small cog in the goliath's wheel. The mega-corp helped reunite cloned pets with their loving families. He wished his talent could be used in the realm of human cloning, helping the terminally ill, but the legal and moralistic hurdles to such research seemed insurmountable.

All sex no substance
Revisado: 10-05-23
This book is pure erotica the whole cloning aspect and the sci-fi part of it seems almost like an afterthought. Jessica Threet gives a great performance as usual but has no real substance to work with. Maybe the later books have more story to it but I just don't see myself wanting to continue with the series

But why?
Revisado: 05-19-23
I have enjoyed this series so far but this book sort of took a nose dive. So far over the course of these books we have built up to Aden becoming the prism. We finally get there and the author right away takes a huge left turn and pits him against not the shadow but a new being, and a god type being at that.
Why build Aden up and have all these stats and spend so much time on what abilities he will take and what stats to put where then just put him against a being that all that doesn't really matter at all. Why build up all his relationships and powers for them to basically just say it didn't really matter since they got cut down instantly.
I know this is a series and it isn't the end of the story but to build a main character over the course of several books to then have him fight a creature that isn't even the shadow and so powerful his bonds are basically useless, I just don't get it. Hopefully the next book redeems it but just finished this book feeling so let down by how it all built up to this was a bit of a gut punch...
