Historia
Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

Funny, Entertaining, and Revealing

This book kept my interest from beginning to end. An intimate view into a fascinating life from early struggles to current explosive success. Such candor about the true pain, embarrassments, joys and emotions is uncommon. I loved the book!

Historia
In this stirring audiobook, David McCullough tells the intensely human story of those who marched with General George Washington in the year of the Declaration of Independence, when the whole American cause was riding on their success, without which all hope for independence would have been dashed and the noble ideals of the Declaration would have amounted to little more than words on paper.

How close we came to losing the Revolutionary War!
Revisado: 01-24-18
If you want the inside story of what actually happened in Revolutionary War, this is the book for you. I learned never before heard of insights from both sides of the war, and was most fascinated to find that were it not for one erroneous but fatal decision by the British army, America today could easily have been a British colony. Very interesting read for history buffs.

Perhaps I am biased, because Ken has been managing my assets for years, but I have come to love his practical, down to earth theories and advice. I highly recommend it!

No one has ever accused me of being a conspiracy theorist, but I was astounded to learn the things our government has done (does) around the world. Perhaps these things are necessary for the protection of our national interests (or maybe not?), but If you truly want to open your eyes to the way the world (and our government) works, then this book is a must read. It keep me captivated from cover to cover.

Historia
Originally released in fall 2017, The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump was a runaway best seller. Alarmed Americans and international onlookers wanted to know: What is wrong with him? That question still plagues us. The Trump administration has proven as chaotic and destructive as its opponents feared, and the man at the center of it all remains a cipher.

This is scary stuff!
Revisado: 01-24-18
I have often reacted to things that our president has done or said by thinking that this is just not normal. This book, authored by 27+ professionals with sufficient medical credentials to make that assessment, confirms those fears. The contributors to this book offer their professional opinion, based on the presidents own statements and actions, that Trump may not be just an unconventional president, but a sick one. None of the contributors have done an actual examination of the president, but with the wealth of video and audio available through todays 24/7 news reporting, these experts each independently reached a unanimous conclusion that the president's current state exceeds "not normal" and approaches a level of psychosis. This book is both truly entertaining and scary!

Since Donald Trump's presidential nomination, Keith Olbermann has emerged as one of the web's most popular anti-Trump screedists - each installment of his GQ web series The Resistance receives nearly four million views, and his fiercely progressive monologues have garnered a new generation of fans and followers. In Trump Is F*cking Crazy, Olbermann takes our commander in chief and his politics apart with journalistic acuity and his classic in-your-face humor.

I loved the narrator's passion while reading (performing) the book. The inflections in his voice truly brought the book to life. I also loved that the author backed up every statement he made about the president with actual facts and incidents to support them. Regardless as to what your political persuasion, you can't argue with the president's own actions and statements (or maybe you can.....that may be the problem).

Of the 44 presidents who have led the United States, nine made mistakes that permanently scarred the nation. Which nine? Brion McClanahan, author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Founding Fathers and The Founding Fathers' Guide to the Constitution, will surprise listeners with his list, which he supports with exhaustive and entertaining evidence.

Neither Fair, Balanced or Objective
Revisado: 05-13-17
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
No, listening to this book was not time well spent. I could have utilized the time much better reading something else. The writer of this book is clearly biased to the right as he "cherry picks" transgressions of certain presidents which he obviously doesn't like and ignores the exact same transgressions in others. The author's basic premise seems to be that presidents who adhere to His interpretation of the U.S. constitution were great and those that didn't conform to His interpretation of the constitution screwed up America. This leads him to demonize for example, Abraham Lincoln for initiating civil war without approval from congress, but fail to add Ronald Reagan to the list for backing the Contras against the Sandinistas after explicit directives from congress to not get the U.S. involved. And worse yet, Reagan funded the effort by flooding parts of the U.S. with drugs (the black and brown parts) and directing the revenues from those sales to the Contras in order to keep his hands clean. I consider this to be worse than anything Lincoln did. I also consider myself neither extreme left, moderate, or right, but a rational thinker. I lean more to the right on some issues (fiscal concerns), left on others (civil rights) and yet am moderate on others. When I am presented with clear propaganda such as this book, it sickens me, insults my intelligence, and no one gains from it.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Forbidden Archeology: The Hidden History of the Human Race
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Narration was good.
Do you think 9 Presidents Who Screwed Up America needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No, see the above.
Any additional comments?
I was disappointed in that I was expecting a fair, balanced, objective read. What I got was biased propaganda.

Historia
Frederick Douglass was born a slave, and it seemed likely that he would live and die a slave since he was uncertain of his date of birth or the identity of his father. But young Douglass promised himself a different future - he would teach himself to read and write, and one day he would be free from slavery. When he was sent to work as a field hand on a plantation in St. Michael's in 1832, his life was so dispiriting and exhausting that he nearly forgot his dreams of freedom.

This book was captivating from beginning to end, not only in content but in narration as well. I was moved not only by the power of the story, but equally so by the excellent writing skills of Frederick Douglass. This book ranks among the best of the many audiobooks I have heard.
