improbable meet cute at it's most adorable

The narrators were spot on and well cast. both delivered fantastic performances.
The majority of their story is emails back and forth but it still pulls you into the plot and endears the characters through what they share anonymously and how they interact. Am adorable couple from beginning to end.
A fun, quick listen. Highly enjoyable.

Quick & Riveting

This one was so good it got a co-worker hooked enough to stay past clock out to hear how it ended. And she doesn't read or do audio books! Even if you are familiar with Stephen King's works, you may be surprised by this...in a good way. Think Green Mile as that shocked several readers as it was so different from his traditional works. Yes, this story is dark and has some twisted characters and a few unexpected twists in the plot (would you expect less), but it has a beating, bleeding heart in it as well. (Hence my mention of the Green Mile earlier.) You get to look inside a marriage so near ideal it could have been the start of a Hallmark movie and as you eavesdrop on their life and thoughts you begin to grow comforted by it until you witness the stumbling upon a shocking discovery and begin to watch the fabric of this comfortable marriage begin to fray and then you wait and watch/listen to see if they unravel it completely or decide to use it hide the skeletons that have irrevocably tumbled from the closet and continue with the marriage without the rose glasses, risking turning on one another in the future. Perfect for a quick listen when you want to get engrossed in the story, but don't want to be left hanging to hear the end.

Oct-cat wins over in the end

Was admittedly a bit hesitant to start this one upon seeing there were so many titles published, but not yet released on audio yet. I am glad I did, though. If I'd waited for more to release, I may have forgotten to keep track and missed out on this fun listen. A collection of eclectic characters is nestled in the story and are carefully sprinkled through the different stories in the series. So far, good attention is paid to continuity by the writer for those who fear getting into a series to find it littered with gaps in the story lines. She has woven a nice little niche community and writes each story in a way that it flows well from book to book, but if you happen to hop in on a later title you are kept abreast and not lost. The narrator has done a fantastic job bringing these adorable characters to life in audio and distinguishes well between characters while maintaining an easy flow through out. If you like cozy, cheeky banter, wit and a cast of fun characters in your mysteries with plenty of fun then give this one a go. This 1st in the series introduces the leads well with a good back story for each began. You get to witness the hilariously rude introduction and follow them through from begrudging sleuthing partners and into a budding friendship.

Adele & Jill ... comedic mystery

Another whimsical delight. Looking forward to the next audible installment. The narrator is smooth & talented. the story had that touch of whimsy we have grown to love and a good giggle in just the right spots. a bit more detail in the mystery would be great. miss the deeper intrigue but it's still a fun read with endearing characters.

alright. I get that doing 2 series simultaneously can be difficult, but how could you end the gang's storylines flying on that curve ball? Over all a sweet wrap up to the mini series... just didn't want it to end. when the last curve flew in I thought maybe Adele changed her mind and added a 5th book or even a new 4 book charter, but, alas, no... or not yet.

spin off success

while I'm a huge fan of tyke witch PI series and airways will be, this spin off is endearing and plays more like a continuation than a spin and yet stands on its own. looking forward to seeing where these characters go as I journey further in the series. admittedly, I am quite partial to Charlie.

A JUMP

When we start with a leap of a year's time I was put off a bit, but was drawn back in quickly with the wit and warm familiarity woven in with the new spins. Looking forward to adding 14 to the audio library as soon as it's out. Road trip coming up, may need to revert back to book 1 and laugh our way back through from the beginning to prepare for it's arrival.

Heart melt

When first beginning this book there was something that had been a bit of nagging thought but it was abruptly put to rest within the story of this one. And the ending was adorable and melt worthy. Looking forward to the come-uppance between Winky & Jill bound to happen in the next installment. Happy to meet some more delightful characters added to the community and even more intertwining happening among the characters and the worlds.

Spinoff Success

This is how a spin off series should be done. Adele easily entwines the characters and settings without entangling them. Janine did a great job narrating and made for easy listening and following along through the plots. Looking forward to the next book.

Strolling with Gatsby

Fan of this wonderful piece of literature since I was first made to read it in High School. became intrigued with Fitzgerald's use of language and how he painted the details of a character and scene with such fluid detail without detouring from the storyline and losing the focus. Jake more than did this fine art justice. He breathed a new bit of life into it. Drawing me in until I feel the hot breeze stick to my flesh and catch the scent of the blossoms mix with gasoline fumes as we stroll through the Eggs. His narration is so poignant at times that you feel as though it's your friend you are reminiscing on. In a way I suppose we are by the end. For as we stroll the very essence and spirit of Gatsby begins to journey with us .
