Narration is Awful
Revisado: 01-08-21
Not sure why or how I finished this book. The narration was irritating and the story line very boring. Kind of not seeing why there were so many good reviews on this book. I loved the Hunger Games and I disliked Divergent. I am assuming that you must like both in order to like this book because I was very "meh" about it.

Poor Rep of a Male Voice
Revisado: 12-03-20
If you can get past the poor rendition of a male voice from the Female Narrator then it's a really great book! I bought it on sale just to have "background noise" and found myself captivated by the story right from the prologue. Very good book I would recommend to anyone!

I want more.
Revisado: 10-07-19
I got this as a free Audible original and I am glad I did. This is a very cute story that reminds me of Harry Potter, it could start off lighter and then darken as it progresses turning into something for all ages. Can't wait for the next one!

Before reading this I was Kennedy at the beginning of the book, by the end of the book I felt more like her during her closing speech. This books had ups and downs for me but was worth sticking through and reading till the end. Great book that I recommend to someone needed their eyes opened.

For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Came for the Voice, Stayed for the Story
Revisado: 05-20-19
I am a big fan of David Tennant, this is why I chose this book. I am glad I did because the story in this book is so innocent and worth listening to. The way they capture a 10 year old's thoughts and actions is so accurate. I smiled a lot when hearing this book. Give it a chance!

Historia
Torben is faced with a terrible choice: rescue the woman he loves from the clutches of a madman or save his people from attack by a ruthless foreign invader. He longs to save Allete, especially since the clan's oracle has prophesized that she will become his queen and help unite the clans. But if saving the princess means abandoning his clan, the choice would be unconscionable. Torben races across land and sea on a collision course with Magnus, Allete's kidnapper and Torben's former king. Their meeting will change the fate of Clan Hakon - either saving it from destruction or splintering it forever.

I found this really hard to get through
Revisado: 01-10-19
Looking at the reviews, I know I am in the minority here... but I really didn't like this book. I felt that it dragged on and had a very poor ended.... so much more could have been done with this story... it was just about how weak the main character was and who he was infatuated with at the moment. The story line bouncing around to different people in the world... I mean one chapter was completely random about Ireland! Where did that even go in then end? to lead up to the last chapter? I think it was a bad ending. I have listened to other Dan Wells books and thought they were fantastic, this one was at the bottom of my list. Sorry.

Historia
Cassie Forrest isn't surprised to learn that the day she’s decided to get her life together is also the day the world ends. After all, she’s been on a self-imposed losing streak since her survivalist parents died: she’s stopped painting, broken off her engagement to Adrian and dated a real jerk. Rectifying her mistakes has to wait, however, because Cassie and her friends have just enough time to escape Brooklyn for her parents’ cabin before Bornavirus LX turns them into zombies, too.

Felt like it was a rip off of The Walking Dead. Lots of similarities to the storyline. Only this one has a happier ending. I have continued to read the rest of the series though. For some reason this book has sucked me in and I want to know how it all ends.
