Historia
Told primarily through conversations, The Tuesday Girl is raw, witty, emotional, and ultimately inspirational. Tanya takes the listener on intimate dates, walks with friends, and conversations with people in her life. She falls in love with someone who she is certain is different from anyone she’s ever met, only to discover that he is a conman. Through it all, she relies on her friend Erin and learns that romance isn’t something that just happens in books—it’s something that runs throughout your own life.

Resilience after love, divorce and betrayal
Revisado: 01-17-25
I was so pleasantly surprised by this book. It takes you on a a journey of discovery - sometimes painful, sometimes joyous, sometimes reckless. It seems to me the story of many people in the modern era, trying for love, and sometimes it doesn't work out - and maybe leads to something better. Anyone in a "toxic" relationship and looking for a story to resonate with, this is a great choice.

Beautiful in every way. Loved the narration. Simple life, misunderstandings, and love. Great for a tea by the fire.

it was a good listen, interesting but mildly predictable. The performance was rather good. I was glad I listened but it's not one I will go back to.

A Hidden Gem!
Revisado: 07-11-21
This story was captivating, the narration was incandescent. I was so caught up in this audiobook it was hard to turn it off. It skillfully entwines the story of a brother and sister (twins) who have moved from the city to the country when a catastrophe happens. The link between the two and the teenage boy's life with epilepsy pull you into this dark but beautiful way he sees the world. The family struggles with their past and present and it will break you heart. I cried more than once - I was on the edge of my seat and loved every minute. I can imagine this made into a movie - seriously. The images were so vivid in my mind - a combination of the entrancing narration of Robin Morrison and the immaculately crafted words of Brownlow. You should listen to this audiobook. It's a great one, maybe off the beaten path, but well worth the buy. I have listen twice, and I rarely do that.

This was a shorty, and I was planning to just listen when I was waiting for my kid at sports practice. The stories both captured me! I couldn't turn it off and listened in one go. Both narrators were great. the stories surprised me and I Rebecca Lowman broke my heart (and I was happy for the good cry!)

I loved this book. The narration was impeccable. I started to predict a few of the plot twists but, in general was entrenched in the story. I highly recommend this one!

Out in the hivelike streets, she discovers herself strangely adept in the skills of the underworld, escaping through alleys and rooftops, picking pockets and locks. Boring. Snore. Snore. Snore.
Revisado: 02-05-15
The story is overly convoluted and filled with more historical information than necessary. I usually love this series but this one was not worth the time. The performance of the actor playing Holmes was dull as dishwater and it seems more like a reading than a performance.
Disappointed.

Hang in there!
Revisado: 01-19-15
If you are as picky as me about narrators this may be hard to listen to at first. He choice to make Holmes such a thanklessly unrelenting whine can be distracting and does his character a disservice. In other instances the performance is excellent. The story is fantastic. That is why I kept listening. I'm glad I stuck to it, but her Scott's accent was appalling and halting.

Historia
Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was 36. They were married when Clare was 23 and Henry was 31. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing.
