Historia
After more than a decade, when sisters Nikki, Sami, and Tori Knotek hear the word mom, it claws like an eagle’s talons, triggering memories that have been their secret since childhood. Until now. For years, behind the closed doors of their farmhouse in Raymond, Washington, their sadistic mother, Shelly, subjected her girls to unimaginable abuse, degradation, torture, and psychic terrors. Through it all, Nikki, Sami, and Tori developed a defiant bond that made them far less vulnerable than Shelly imagined.

It's the story of pain that never ends
Revisado: 06-13-24
Thus book should have been an expose article rather than 8+ hours of repetitive torture. It is making me ill to continue listening with 7 hours to go. I'm done.

Historia
In late summer of 2012, millionaire landowner Göran Lundblad went missing from his farm in Sweden. When a search yielded nothing, and all physical evidence had seemingly disappeared, authorities had little to go on - except a disturbing phone call five weeks later from Göran’s daughter Maria. She was sure that her sister, Sara, was somehow involved. At the heart of the alleged crime: Sara’s greed, her father’s land holdings, and his bitter feud with Sara’s idler boyfriend. With no body, there was no crime - and the case went as cold and dark as the forests of southern Sweden.

When will it get interesting?
Revisado: 12-10-18
I used to commit to finishing any book that I had selected to read. Thatveas sometimes torturous. life us too short, and there are so many good books to read. I listened to the first 45 minutes of this book and was thoroughly bored. There was no 'hook' for me, although this us my favorite genre to read. Save your money and time.

The Essential Coaching Handbook
Revisado: 05-17-18
Simpson has assembled the essential factors of coaching in an organized and easy to follow guide. It is useful to the beginner professional coach, business leader wanting to coach internally, or as a refresher for the experienced coach. While the examples are based on corporate scenarios, this is equally applicable to coaching for personal strategic planning, individual performance improvement, and self-employment. Don't skip the epilogue. It would be better named "Creating Your Toolbox."

Bear with the slow and and elementary start as the story begins, as it is aptly described through the voice of a child. You will feel the astonishment, fear, outrage, anger, and sorrow in this moving story, beginning in a small village in Germany.

As many twists as the back road itself!
Revisado: 06-11-17
This story is loaded with characters and at no loss for suspects for every misdeed, of which there are many. The plot is strong with many subplots. However, combining that with the many characters and lack of clear differentiation of voices, it is difficult to follow in some spots in the audible version. It is still very much worth the read. Enjoy!

This book was written with heart and reflecting courage in the face of the harsh reality experienced by too many others. The actual actions may be different, but the result is all too often the same.
