Historia
After nearly eighteen months at Basgiath War College, Violet Sorrengail knows there’s no more time for lessons. No more time for uncertainty. Because the battle has truly begun, and with enemies closing in from outside their walls and within their ranks, it’s impossible to know who to trust. Now Violet must journey beyond the failing Aretian wards to seek allies from unfamiliar lands to stand with Navarre. The trip will test every bit of her wit, luck, and strength, but she will do anything to save what she loves—her dragons, her family, her home, and him.

The ending ruined it
Revisado: 01-27-25
I can only imagine how hard it is to craft an ending. The ending of Onyx Storm was so unsatisfying that I almost wish I had never read the series. Was that really the best she could do? What a cop out? Perhaps she’s planning more books.

Historia
Miyara saved the city of Sayorsen and the dragons. She was happy with the place she'd made for herself. But every action triggers consequences. Her older sister comes to drag her back to the palace and the meaningless life she hated. The tea guild won't support her unless she succeeds on her own in their chosen challenge: a tea tournament and the international politics and unrest that come along with it. To top it all off, the border protecting the remaining world from the magical disaster zone is suddenly failing.

Loved the first book but I cancelled my preorder of the third after listening to this. I'm a progressive but I surely found it off-putting to get lectured about pronouns when listening to my fantasy novel.

Revisado: 12-15-20
I love Elizabeth Hunter but this book, especially the last couple of hours, were not high quality. I’m not sure if she was strapped for time but it almost seemed like she was channeling a Nora Roberts formula to finish this series. I like EH because she’s different and creative. This book and this ending was a disappointment.

Historia
My name is Vinna, and I've been keeping a lot of secrets. You would too if you'd experienced some of the weird shit I have: red-eyed monsters chasing me, markings on my body appearing out of nowhere, a strange power that crackles colorfully over my skin from time to time, and don't get me started on the weapons I can conjure up almost out of nowhere.

Poor Description!!!
Revisado: 06-06-19
This is labeled as Fantasy. There should be an explicit inclusion of being a reverse harem novel in the description. If it was described properly I never would have purchased this book and the author could have spared herself this poor review.

Should have seen this coming from book 2
Revisado: 05-27-19
I’m not into harem novels. I am disappointed that this series was not advertised honestly as what it would become from the beginning. I really enjoyed the first Jackie May book in this series. I’m sure that I will enjoy her books in the future if they don’t devolve into weird harem novels. I will be a little more cautious about reading the description so I can avoid this in the future. Hopefully the author will provide the courtesy of accurate information in the description.

It was nice to give Catalina her own voice and the Ms. Rankin was very good. This book was as excellent as you expect from Ilona Andrews.

Glad I only used a coupon on this. Same narrator as other books and she’s good. It is a prelude to the first story but you don’t miss anything by not listening to this first. Depressing and not really worth a credit. Love the rest of the books in this series and the author in general.

Historia
One thing I've learned about running a shelter for paranormal creatures, you can't afford to let your guard down. It all started when I welcomed an enchanting new guest to my plantation. Strange things started to happen. Well, more strange than usual. I was caught off guard by some conflicting feelings, and it spurred me on to get Brad, the love of my life, committed. To moving in with me, that is. In any case, I was willing to do whatever it took: love spells, black magic, and something so naughty I'd rather not mention it here.

Wanted to love it but nope
Revisado: 08-06-18
I wanted to love this because the reviews said it was so funny. The comedy struck me as off key. The story line was awkward and ridiculous even for the paranormal genre. It's my fault despite being a huge Molly Harper fan, enjoying Kristen Painter and early Dakota Cassidy I don't like Robyn Peterman, Angie Fox or Danielle Garrett. If you enjoy all these writers then perhaps you will enjoy this book.
